Response from developer
LG Sarah

Fantastic App. Don’t mind paying for something that works. Can’t expect free apps when someone has to keep it going
Issue
Today 9-11-25 streets is a blackout screen.why?
GREEDY
I paid for this app and used for years. All of a sudden the developer decided they want more money, so after the new update they want me to pay a subscription.
For what? They are getting the data from Google’s instantstreetview.com anyway. Deleting this app and will use instantstreetview.com, which is free.

Same software, now pay again…
Purchased a “perpetual” license, the app has no meaningful change but now is a subscription. No heads up, no option to keep my license with limited functionality, specially since THERE IS NO NEW FUNCTIONALITY. For sure wasn’t expecting that. A one time purchase made sense since this is something I don’t use that frequently and not having to use Google services was a big plus. But considering that I don’t use it enough for meaningful profiling, back to google maps it is.
You could at least give a 5-10 years license to people who purchased the app before the switch to try and make things better, but this feels wrong and left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Edit: Went after info on the company to check if this was some random app farm acquisition rug pull, and saw the blog about the API price changes. Understandable but it must have been quite a hike to justify the new pricing. I’d rather have an option to create an account and use my API key that I can generate for free and would pretty much cover all my usage needs, but that might have some ToS shenanigans with google. Truly unfortunate, liked this software a lot, but can’t justify yet another subscription for this service, even more so when the dollar conversion rate to BRL is so unfavorable.
