What's new in 4.78 TEMP TAG SCAN RESULT, REDESIGNED • The answer is the first thing on screen: "Checked — matches the reference", "Checked — tag is expired", or "Doesn't match the reference" — pinned while you scroll, with the engine's reasoning one tap away. • "What we have" shows the reads the engine made from the photo; "Still needs checking" walks the remaining checks in the order you'd do them at the car — look at the tag, security features, your queries. • Compare to genuine uses the same exemplar as the reference page, with a switch to hide the markers and see the whole tag. • Scan history and the Temp Tags home show what each scan found, not a blank line. TEMP TAG SCANNER • A tag the camera can't place no longer defaults to the first state on the list — you get the state picker instead. Look-alike characters in stylized headers (the Ohio "O") are read correctly. • The assessment bar always reports what the engine actually found — never a blank verdict after you've answered the checks. • Every state's reference page has the new layout: current sequence with the date it was confirmed, dated DMV notes, and a tag-type switcher that changes the exemplar image and its hotspots when a state issues more than one tag. Title bar stays solid while you scroll. RELIABILITY • A content update that would remove a state from the scanner is refused; the reference you already have stays put. A bad value on a single check drops that check, never the state. SEARCH AND SIGN-UP • Creating a free account from search opens the account form, not the officer-verification form. • Search results show what's in the full kit for your state; lapsed subscribers see their rejoin price. Verified, not generated. Works offline.
