It truly pains me to say this, but since the original Mark (Strongbox Founder) had turned out to be a complete sell-out of their masterpiece app, I'm even more skeptical that these DEV’s will maintain its users integrity with the same dedication; just look at ‘Bartender’ app. Maybe Mark should have considered selling it to LastPass, because they too, “cared” about users privacy and security. 😂
It's like selling a Picasso at a garage sale and expecting a random stranger to care about it just as much as the sell-out did. That’s how you explore the market, and then you find ways to exploit it! Let the second stage begin!
As such, the best I can possibly will EVER give, is 2 stars. And ONLY to give credit where credit is due. What a shame!!

Full featured and elegant app for Password Safe format databases. Removal of network/sync code is a helpful added layer of protection.

This app used to be great but the developer sold it to a company that specializes in buying apps, filling them with ads and tracking, and transitioning them to a predatory subscription mode while refusing to honor previously-sold lifetime licenses. It’s only a matter of time before they pull the same stunt on Strongbox.

Run far away from this app
Strongbox was recently sold to Applause Group, a company known to acquire popular apps and then ruin it by extorting customers with ridiculous subscriptions and adding privacy invading analytics.

Amazing App
Does everything I need from a password manager and easily branches off from the legendary keepass manager that started it all. They have so much user accommodations built into their apps that they have thoughtfully designed these apps around your needs. They are a very responsive developer that also take user concerns and ideas into their designs. You won’t get this level of care from some of the other password manager apps.

Perfekt, wenn Passwörter offline bleiben sollen
Lange Zeit bin ich mit dem Apple Schlüsselbund ohne iCloud gut zurecht gekommen. Da nun aber mehrmals die iCloud-Synchronisation nach Updates von selbst angegangen ist, musste ich mich nach einer Alternative umsehen. Passwörter möchte ich einfach nicht in der Cloud haben.
Bei Strongbox Zero bin ich fündig geworden. Die Verwaltungsmöglichkeiten sind deutlich umfangreicher und man muss keine Sorge haben, dass hier etwas versehentlich doch mit einer Cloud synchronisiert wird. Beispielswiese per AirDrop kann man Passwortdatenbanken dennoch problemlos zwischen unterschiedlichen Geräten weitergeben.
Das Programm ist sehr übersichtlich. Wenn man aber doch einmal Hilfe benötigt oder Fragen hat, reagiert der freundliche Support sehr schnell, sogar am Wochenende. Ich bin restlos zufrieden!

Best offline password manager
This is probably the best offline pw manger for iOS. Has so many useful features and the developers are very responsive. Strongly recommend this app to anyone looking for a keepass iOS app

Great
I was using another Keepass app but decided to go with zero because of the offline nature of the app. A bit more than I wanted to spend but it’s doing everything I need it to do and has some unique features that I didn’t have before. Support/development for the app seems great so that’s what you are paying for.

Has almost everything I want
Great app, the rest of this is just asking for a feature to warrant 5 stars from me.
The only feature that I would want added would be the ability to use NFC for Yubikey protected keepass databases in the browser. I’m not entirely sure if this is a feature that is missing because iOS doesn’t allow for it, or because it hasn’t been worked on yet. If it’s an inherent limitation, I’d look into the possibility of making a Safari extension to try to bypass it, if their extension tools allow for it.

Mit Abstand beste KeePass Umgebung in der Applewelt
Ich nutze seit etlichen Jahren KeePass und bin letztes Jahr auf Apple umgestiegen. Und dank Strongbox klappt der Umstieg.
Weil so kann ich weiterhin meine Passwörter über alle Geräte synchronisieren.

I can’t say enough about Strongbox! Every little detail is carefully thought out and beautifully implemented. And it is a gift that keeps on giving with each and every update. I wish other app developers, including password managers, put this much thought and effort into designing their apps.

Seit 30.04.2019 bin ich Nutzer von Strongbox. Drei Monate kostenlose Probezeit, dann Kauf der Personal Edition, weil schon die damalige Version mich überzeugt hatte. Auch der nette E-Mail-Kontakt zu Entwickler Mark McGuill war ein Grund, diesem Passworttresor treu zu bleiben. 😉 Ich bin kein Freund von Abomodellen, habe aber Verständnis dafür, wenn Softwareentwickler ihre Software als Abo anbieten müssen. Die Kostenlos-Mentalität vieler Menschen macht es nötig. Aber zum Glück hatte Mark offensichtlich viel Erfolg mit seinem genialen Produkt und kann uns deshalb verschiedene Varianten anbieten. 👍 So also auch Lifetime-Lizenzen. Und Strongbox Zero ebenfalls als solche. Strongbox Zero ist genau das, was noch gefehlt hat! Ich habe sehr gern nochmal gezahlt, das ist diese Software wirklich wert – und die Menschen, die dafür arbeiten und einen wirklich guten Job machen! Solch ein Werkzeug schützt unsere Identität, ist unser täglicher zuverlässiger Begleiter. Da kann man auch für rein persönliche Zwecke einmal 60 € (oder 80 € für die andere Version) ausgeben! Außerdem ist die neue Version inzwischen Universal App für alle drei Plattformen!
– Neukunden wählen gleich diese Version und Bestandskunden haben keine Nachteile!

Perfekt!
Synchronisation über AirDrop mit dem Mac, ansonsten lokal auf dem iPhone. Hat auch sehr guten Passwortgenerator. Was will man mehr? Vielleicht kostenlose Testversion anbieten, damit man sich selbst überzeugen kann. Mit gefällt es! Weiter so.
