User reviews

Just keeps crashing

I love the concept of this app but it will crash every time I try and do anything. I am requesting a refund
and I’m very disappointed

Not working for Windows

I had the worst experience buying this app….

Abandoned?

Installed and everything shows as successfully connected (iPad Air 4, iPadOS 26.2, Windows 10) but auv3 plugins stay in an "offline/bypassed" mode and produce no output, so no audio outputs to my Windows PC. Such a shame. I was excited for this. :(

FAQ

What does studiomux do?

studiomux streams audio, MIDI, and OSC data between your iOS devices and your Mac or PC via a USB cable. This allows you to use your iOS music apps as if they were plugins within your desktop Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and control them with hardware controllers.

What are the key features of studiomux?

Key features include streaming audio from iOS to your computer with VST/AU support, controlling iOS apps with MIDI controllers connected to your computer, sending OSC messages, and syncing multiple iOS devices using Ableton Link. It also supports multiple stereo channels and integrates with IAA, AU v3, and Audiobus.

Is studiomux free to use?

Yes, studiomux is a free application. There are no in-app purchases or advertisements mentioned in the provided description.

What are the system requirements for studiomux?

studiomux requires iOS 9.3 and up on your mobile device. For your computer, it needs OS X 10.10 and up or Windows 10 and up (which requires iTunes to be installed). A small helper app also needs to be downloaded and installed on your Mac or PC from the developer's website.

How can I use studiomux for music production?

You can use studiomux to stream audio from your iOS music apps directly into your DAW on your Mac or PC, treating them like VST or AU plugins. You can also use MIDI controllers connected to your computer to play and sequence iOS apps, or use your iOS devices to control software and hardware connected to your computer.
