About

StudySafeLink is a safety companion built for international students and their parents. One tap tells your family you're home safe — every single day. FOR STUDENTS • One-tap check-in — "I'm Home" from the app or the lock-screen widget. With location permission set to "Always", arrival is detected automatically when you enter a 200 m zone around your home (no continuous GPS tracking). • Evening reminders — a gentle "Home yet?" notification at 9 pm local time if you haven't checked in. • Official crime maps — street-level incident pins from public police data: data.police.uk across England, Wales & Northern Ireland, plus NYPD, LAPD and other US city open-data portals. Colour-coded by severity, updated monthly. • University safety scores — a 0–100 score and A–D grade computed from 12 months of official records within 3 km of campus, ranked within its country. Where an area has no official coverage, we say so plainly instead of inventing numbers. • Today's Safety Card — breaking safety news around campus from trusted feeds, monthly trend charts and the latest-month breakdown. • AI safety assistant — ask "Is this neighbourhood safe at night?" or "How do I spot a rental scam?" and get answers grounded in real local statistics, in English or Chinese. • Trip Guardian — strictly opt-in. While travelling, share low-frequency location updates (at most one per hour, shown to your parent rounded to ~100 m) with automatic end-of-trip detection. • Community reports — see and add student-reported hazard marks near campus. • Deep Region Report — an optional paid report ($1.99 per report) analysing any point within covered areas in depth. FOR PARENTS • Daily reassurance — every day at dinnertime, get one calm summary of your child's day: their check-in status and any safety news near their university. Most days it simply says "no major safety reports today". • Check-in status card — Safe / Not checked in / Overdue at a glance. • Anti-scam guard — if something feels off during a call, request one-tap "safe verification"; you're alerted immediately if your child doesn't confirm. • Quiet hours — instant notifications pause overnight and arrive as one morning digest. FREE VS GUARDIAN (VIP) Checking in, browsing maps and viewing safety scores are free. New users get a 7-day free trial of Guardian features. After the trial, Guardian features require an auto-renewing subscription — $4.99/month or $49.99/year — which unlocks benefits for BOTH the student and the bound parent: • Daily reassurance push notifications • Check-in time display and quiet hours • Trip Guardian and one-tap safe verification • 100 AI questions per month (free tier: 10/month) Optional top-ups: 100 extra AI questions ($0.99), a pack of 10 extra trips ($0.99), Deep Region Report ($1.99 each). SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. Terms of Use: https://www.studysafelink.top/terms/ Privacy Policy: https://www.studysafelink.top/privacy/ HONEST DATA, NO FABRICATION All crime statistics come from official public records published by police forces and city governments. Data is released monthly (typically about a one-month lag) and we label the exact month shown everywhere. Where no official source covers a university, we display "no official data" rather than estimating. This app provides general reference information only and cannot guarantee anyone's safety. In an emergency always call local emergency services (999 in the UK, 911 in the US). PRIVACY BY DESIGN Location is used only in features you explicitly enable, and consent is recorded every time Guardian mode is switched on. Trip history is kept for a maximum of 30 days, then automatically deleted. Parents see locations blurred to ~100 metres. Email addresses are stored encrypted.

What's New in StudySafeLink

1.4

September 9, 2026

University safety profiles are now shareable, plus upgrades to Trip Guardian and anti-scam guard. NEW • Share a university's safety profile — tap Share on any safety detail page to send a full web report (scores, trends, official data) to family and friends. No app needed on their side. • Smarter route safety scores — a graded curve now rates routes matching the city average at 70 (B) instead of bottoming out, making comparisons more meaningful. • Faster trip endings — Trip Guardian now records where and how a trip ended, with a quicker end flow. • Stronger anti-scam guard — pending safe-verification requests stay visible as a persistent banner on the student's side until confirmed. • Numerous stability and polish fixes. If StudySafeLink brings you peace of mind, a quick App Store rating would mean a lot.
