THE most out of date lagging app ever
STV IPlayer need to up their game, I wish I could just watch everything I wanted to on ITV

Worst TV App
Continuous glitches when on TV, fails to cast when on ipad and never fails to broadcast adverts rather than the show you actually want to watch. Try to avoid whenever possible.

Easily the worst streaming app I’ve ever encountered. The developers should be sacked for creating such a poor piece of software. Completely unacceptable.
Takes an eternity to load.

Search functionality is rubbish. I searched for Britain’s Got Talent and it brought up Harold Shipman documentaries.
Chromecast functionality used to be really good - years ago. For many months now this has been completely impossible. Basic functionality either fails to work or is restricted for unknown reasons.

Keeps freezing and then won’t resume.
Doesn’t work all the time
Sadly this has then tendency of freezing. I’ve just tried five times to use it but it freezes at the end of the adverts every time 😤
Let me tell you …
It has amazing channels on it and I do it so much. My first favorite is my mum your dad it’s just terrific. There is a lot of different channels that I love as well but I probably couldn’t tell you them all. The next thing I want to point out is genres I think it is an amazing idea and I don’t think anybody has come up with that before I loved all the kids stuff for my kids and the adult stuff for me also adore the name of it. STV Player is great and also the sponsor McDonald’s is my favorite Food place. Thank you and goodbye

Can get STV player on phone but not TV. Why ?

Love what’s on the player but it keeps crashing or I lose the sound on it and on my TV programmes

Loving new layout but…..
New layout is better cleaner but since update been a lot of problems. Delay in responses and being stuck within a program when opening
Ads during rugby
Putting ads in the middle of a game is shocking. Can’t enjoy anything without something being sold to you.
Digital adds on the pitch are so distracting and look terrible, why can’t they just paint it on the pitch like they used to?

Excellent app and rock solid during the World Cup!
App was absolutely great during the World Cup even with me bouncing in and out of matches when not watching a full match. Got in straight away and stream quality was solid and just as good as TV. Loads of content and easy to find something you like!
Brilliant programmes
I love STV Player. I’ve really enjoyed finding shows I watched years ago like Brookside and Wild at Heart. And new ones too. Really enjoying Coroner which I’d not heard of before. Works fine on my phone and TV. Also get it through Sky. It has ads, but worth a few ads to watch stuff for free. Would recommend.

Ad free version doesn’t work
Despite paying for the ad free version, it still doesn’t work. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Signing out and signing in. Contacted STV customer care team and and they couldn’t help. Really poor service and disappointing that their tech team couldn’t help. They wouldn’t issue a refund either as the subscription was paid through Apple. No other streaming service has issues like this for their upgraded membership. Extremely poor STV.

BBC iPlayer is far superior in stability and picture quality, I don’t know how they can get this so wrong!!
Trying to watch the world cup has been a chore, massive parts of the games missed while it buffers.
The app needs fixed, but knowing that network, bet it has never been quality checked, like the news reporting.
