About
Photograph your plate and get its calories, protein, carbs and fat in seconds. Suarat was written in Arabic first, and it knows the food you actually eat: kabsa, mandi, jareesh and 250 dishes, most of them from the Gulf and the Levant, each with its own nutrition values. Not a translated American food list.
SCAN A MEAL
• Take one photo of your plate. The app recognizes each dish and estimates the portion in grams.
• The numbers come from our own dish table. Anything outside it is clearly marked as an estimate, so you know what deserves a second look.
• Not sure what's on the plate? The app asks you to choose between a few likely dishes, and your answer corrects the numbers.
• Adjust any portion in grams, swap a dish or remove it, then add the meal to your diary.
• Packaged food: switch the camera to barcode mode. Product data comes from Open Food Facts.
YOUR PLAN
• A daily calorie target and a protein, carb and fat split, calculated from your age, height, weight, activity and goal.
• Today shows what you've eaten, meal by meal, and what's left.
• History shows every day at a glance, with your weekly average.
• Log your weight and follow the trend against your goal line.
FASTING AND WATER
• An intermittent fasting timer: 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 or a length you choose, with your fast drawn across the day.
• Log water by the cup or the bottle and watch your daily goal fill up.
KEEP GOING
• A daily logging streak, with a streak freeze for the day you can't log.
• 16 badges to earn, from your first scan to a 100-day streak.
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for calories left, your fast and your streak, plus a water widget.
• Apple Health, if you want it: read your weight from Health, and save the meals and weight you log there.
MADE FOR YOU
• Arabic, English, Spanish and French.
• Western or Arabic-Indic digits; kilograms and centimeters, or pounds and inches.
• No account needed. Your onboarding answers stay on your phone, and meal photos are deleted within 30 days.
SUBSCRIPTION
Suarat requires a subscription. The weekly plan starts with a 3-day free trial, and an annual plan is also available. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple Account settings.
Calorie and nutrient values are estimates to help you follow what you eat. They are not medical advice.
