New Bugs??
I've enjoyed this app for years but habit recently been getting interface issues and crashes related to checkpoint save and restore and puzzle reset.
Often when saving a checkpoint, the upper right menu (that houses the checkpoint and reset commands) becomes hidden. It still works, but isn't visible.
Occasionally saving or restoring a checkpoint will terminate the application and reset the current puzzle. On restart it appears as an "in progress" puzzle but has beg fully reset to its start state.
Also often the reset command does nothing leaving the puzzle as is.
When it works this is a great sudoku app.

At the end of a game the display automatically cord to the statistics display. I am unable to close that display to start another game. I have to shut down my phone and restart. This is unacceptable!

Custom feature is GREAT! But buggy
I use this app for it’s custom puzzle feature. I have a Sudoku paper book that I never completed. I enter the puzzles into the app because the book is worn, ripped and dog eared. After solving my 1st custom puzzle I entered 2 more and solved them too. The bug is that the app doesn’t remember that I solved the 2nd and 3rd puzzles!!! It doesn’t even remember when I used the ‘save checkpoint’ feature 1 or 2 steps before completing the puzzle!
At this point I entered 6 puzzles and I deleted the 1st one. I completed the 2nd and 3rd but they still show as incomplete!
Does anyone know of another iPhone app that has the option to enter custom puzzles?

Great alternative to Andoku
I had to switch from Android to iPhone and Andoku is not available in iOS. This is a great alternative to it. It contains all the variations of sudoku, with slightly more features, including how you want to enter the numbers. Only negative is that it also contains popup ads.
Latest update ruined it
I lovED this app b/c of the custom feature
Now with this update, every time you leave the screen you have to watch an ad.

Some puzzles literally have no logical solution
On the Very Hard level, I thought I was losing my touch as I found that I needed to use the hints only to see the hint come up as basically “we don’t know why, but this cell is a 6”. Surely your puzzle creation is flawed if your own AI cannot find the logical way to solve? Very frustrating and a waste of relaxation time now…..

Great sudoku app. Can’t give feedback easily
I really like the simplicity of the app. It has all you could want, including the power to create your own puzzle (or copy the one from the newspaper!!) App doesn’t seem to have a feedback option. Latest iOS update has issue with advertisement.

I’ve tried a bunch of sudoku apps and found this one to be OK.
Pros: dark mode. No full screen or overly interruptive ads (in the free version). Nice set of options to control effects, input method, etc. I’m glad to see the “digit first” method is an option.
Cons: it doesn't remember the dark mode setting. When you reopen the app it defaults back to light mode.
No option to immediately flag wrong numbers.
...not a “con” per se but a suggested improvement: “dark mode” could have less contrast. = even less strain for the eyes.
Also, PLEASE consider putting a “dark mode” filter / tinted overlay on the ad area. Stark white or brightly colored flashing ads kind of defeat the purpose....

This was working great but lately choosing the classic theme doesn’t work. It keeps reverting to the dark theme which is hard to see. Please fix.
