The Big Screen Update is here. Sudoku now runs beautifully on iPad and Apple Silicon Mac, with layouts rebuilt from the ground up for larger screens. This is not a stretched phone app. On iPad, you get proper layouts in both orientations, full Split View, Slide Over and Stage Manager support, and your puzzle, notes and timer stay intact when you resize the window during a game. On Mac, the app runs natively with full hardware keyboard support for number entry, arrow keys, notes, undo and pause. We have also reworked the Smart Hint engine so it teaches instead of just solving. A hint explains which of 26 human techniques applies and why, highlighting the cells step by step before it places a number. The Technique Library walks you through every technique with a worked example you can try yourself, and the new Sudoku Terms glossary explains every word a hint or lesson uses in plain English, with a quick example. Auto-Complete is new too. When only a few cells are left and the rest is forced, you can let the app fill them in for you. Choose whether it asks first or completes the grid instantly. Create Your Own Theme lets you choose the colours for the board, your numbers, the grid lines and the accent, then the whole app follows along. Every screen now has a cleaner, calmer and more modern look, with accessibility improvements including an adjustable board font size and a quieter, focus-friendly interface. We have also added more languages, so more players can learn Sudoku in their own language. Thank you for every piece of feedback. A new setting, "Block conflicting notes": turn it off to pencil in any candidate freely, even one already placed in the same row, column or box. The color highlight for notes matching your selected number wasn't appearing in some themes. That's now fixed, so it stands out clearly in every theme. 4.0.3, from your feedback: Send feedback and get our reply right inside the game. When we answer, it appears the next time you open the app, and you can write back. Haptics got a full upgrade: mistakes now feel clearly different from completions, finishing a row, column or box sweeps across the board cell by cell, and winning buzzes in time with the confetti. The number pad registers every tap more reliably, especially 1 and 9 at the edges. You can now dismiss the keyboard while writing feedback.
