I’ve had this app for just 10 days and I am waaaay better at sudoku. I purchased a 1yr subscription to use the design feature and put in those I couldn’t solve. Worth it!

No way to draw chains or selectively color cells. Otherwise great
BEST Sudoku App
I’ve tried so many but this is the best one because it teaches you how to solve the more difficult puzzles!
Terrible if trying to learn
Trying to learn sudoku and all this app did was make me more confused. Definitely NOT for beginners. Tutor implies teaching. This assumes you know already. That’s why I chose a tutor. Stupid waste of time for the name.

This app has taught me how to do the most difficult sudokus. And I’m still learning.
Good, but strategy section needs work
I like this app, and it’s helped me learn more about how to play sudoku, but I have one big complaint. The strategy explanation section is really hard to read. The text is extremely light in color, and you cannot change the text size or zoom in to see it better. Even with my glasses on, I struggle to see the text, so the explanation is not very helpful. I hope the makers of this app will consider making the text dark in color and maybe bold type, as well as making the text size adjustable. It would also be nice if you could access strategy explanations and practice puzzles through a direct menu instead of only when you encounter them in a puzzle.

Almost perfect
This app is great except that for me, about 50% of puzzles in expert mode are solved by “singles chain”. So far none with swordfish, few with xyz wing. It’s either singles chain or a few xy wings.
Personally, I am not familiar with singles chain and it appears quite difficult to perform on a phone.

Great tutor!
Great sudoku app for both playing Sudoku casually and also for learning new solving techniques! The in-game tutor interface is easy to follow and I really appreciate how there are partial hints so I’m able to learn different ways to recognize possible solving techniques that are present on the puzzle.
The sudoku puzzle scanner is super cool and accurate when reading a sudoku puzzle from a book. (It also shows you the solution immediately after reading a puzzle in!)
