I had used a $200 TV for a year and walked away with $150. That was a great deal for me. But here’s the real deal: the buyer also got an almost-new TV for $150. The online platform made the double win happen. It proved that with transparency, when you connect the right buyer and the right seller, everyone succeeds. But when I arrived in South Sudan, searching for that same seamless platform, it simply did not exist. It was a huge gap.
