Dreadful and disappointing update
This was the only calculator I’d use, until I opened it today and found it’s been updated. It is so disappointing. Aside from the font choice being uglier/less elegant (and gigantic when typing numbers), the buttons are now completely opposite from what they were which is an enormous problem. I am so irritated about the limited functionality now that this is the first app review I’ve ever written.

Swipe to Save — best feature
I love this calculator because of the simplicity and the swipe to save feature. It’s great for all the what if calculations I do.
I’m not crazy about the latest update. I think everything is a little bit too bold and big. I also don’t like that they took away the percentage key.
But it’s still the best calculator I’ve ever used on an i device.

I’ve been using Sumhold for years. I love it! I’m so glad it’s been updated. <3
Now this is simple
WAIT... did you change the placement of the buttons? Is the plus the same way it always was? How come I'm making so so many mistakes now when before the update I never made a mistake. I'm aware you added the % sign. It's not it. Please let me know asap
There's absolutely no reason to use this
This is essentially a lazy programmer being lazy with his apple developer account. Nothing about this calculator is unique or better than the built in calculator in iOS.

The most intuitive calculator app
I can’t tell you how stoked I was to see this app come back from the dead! (It had last been updated yeaaars ago.)
The thing that I like best about this app is that it makes setting calculator memories easy. Honestly who can understand what "M+", "M-" and all that mean on a regular calculator? (Not me.) Here, though, you just drag calculated numbers to a shelf, and you can easily drag them back to the calculation line if you need to use them again.

Innovative in Its Simplicity
Have tried a number of calculator apps for business and personal use. There are several key features which set this app apart from other calculator apps--you will need to try it to see the differences. Highly recommended.
Simple powerful calculator
Sumhold is great for its smart use of gestures to save numbers, and it "shows your work" as you do calculations. A must have helpful tool.
Simple, perhaps a little too much so
The overarching design logic of this app is great, clean looks and intuitive interface, however there are a lot of missing functions. Percentage and square root would be nice, as well as a button or gesture to clear everything.
Simplicity but........
Great app however what would make it a five star is if there was a vibrate option when making your calculations. It feels more accurate that way and precise that way.

What a gorgeous looking calculator. People who don’t have the need for complex calculations will appreciate the simplistic design and minimalistic approach. However, the lack of percentage calculation is a letdown. Percentage is one of the most basic and widely use calculations; it’s a function every calculator should not be without. In my book, this function is worth the two holding stars.

Wow. What a sweet calculator. Love the scrollable tape and the saved numbers. Add clicking sound preference and I don’t know what else it would need.
Nice but where is the iPad version?
One star off because there is no iPad version. But I'm using it as my calculator app on my iPhone so it must be good.
Sweet
For my daily calculations pricing custom prints for my clients, this is a functional masterpiece. It has a very clean UI that doesn't get in the way. All I could offer for constructive criticism is to suggest lightening the font weight for the total display, and to offer color scheme options, but these are minor design nits. It's a great calculator for basic math.

Great design, could use a few more features
I've turned to this app as a replacement for the abandoned calcbot app. Sumhold is well-designed, but could use: an easier way to clear the input; the X is too far because I hold the phone in my left hand. Also an audible click would be nice when tapping numbers. Lastly, I wish I could flick saved numbers UP just like I flip them down. There is flickering on the red buttons when task switching to and from sumhold on my iPhone 5s. Great app, and I can't wait for future versions!

Can we have a 5th function?
This app makes it very easy to use the four function calculator. I'd really like to be able to take a square root. Could we replace one of the keys, maybe the seven key, with the square root? I rarely use the 7.
Super intuitive!
The app is great, 100 times better than the native calculator app! :D One thing I'd wish to add here is the scientific calculator (when holding the iPhone horizontally). Then it would be just P-E-R-F-E-C-T.
Calculator innovation
Best simple calculator in the App Store! Finally somebody that realized a software based calculator doesn't have to look and work like a real physical calculator. This app is worth more than .99.
