What's New in Sumi Book
1.2.1
November 3, 2026
Sumi 1.2.1 reads the sites you add without going through our server, and keeps what you read more private. NEW • The sites you add are read with modules built into Sumi: their addresses are no longer sent to our server, and they work even when our server does not answer. • “Rate Sumi” in Settings › About. Now and then, after a seal, iOS also offers to rate the app, never while you read. IMPROVED • Guided View and Trim margins on downloaded chapters, imported files and your Komga and Suwayomi servers, and faster everywhere. • App Lock and Incognito mode: the app switcher no longer shows your page, Siri and Shortcuts no longer tell what you are reading, the Resume widget hides while the iPhone is locked, and in Incognito mode the pages you read no longer stay on the device. • iCloud sync: conflicting versions are merged instead of lost, and a change of iCloud account is taken into account. • Sumi fills the whole screen of iPhone Duo, open or closed. • Very large images, covers and pages alike, are scaled down for display: a file or a site can no longer exhaust the iPhone’s memory. • A source from a site Sumi no longer supports stops with a message that says why. FIXED • On iPad in a window, the reader’s close button and the headers no longer sit under the window controls. • In continuous reading, the page stays in place when the chapter reloads. • A hidden title no longer opens from a direct link, and the Notebook no longer names it. • The ex libris’ “Favorite” changes from day to day, even while the app stays open. • An interrupted import no longer leaves files behind. • A site that hangs no longer freezes your other sources. …and many other fixes.
