Decent Summaries HORRIBLE App
I am a premium subscriber (text and audio). This app feels like someone said ten years ago “Hey, I guess we should make an app”. They did enough to check that box and then moved on.
Finding it after install…Type “Book”?… No results. Really?!
Want to listen to the book and see the text at the same time. Not possible!! For TWO HUNDRED dollars per year.

Scam
This is a subscriber hostage taker masquerading as a legitimate service providers. Impossible to unsubscribe from them.
Frustrating
The app is very frustrating to use. Have no idea why audio function is so difficult to use. Unresponsive. Very poor UX

I’m a long-time member of Soundview - over 15 years. I typically use their website, but the app is nice to have when traveling.

App is broken, content is still excellent
The app appears to have all sorts of issues, it has menu options that go to “this page has moved” screens, indicating a woeful lack of testing. Attempting to share will crash it, downloads don’t download anymore etc etc. Not good.
The material provided though in the summaries is as excellent as ever.

Love the product. Don’t like the new app
App does not seem to work. Tried to download and it worked great before but does not seem to work now.
Unusable App
The app opens but when a summary is selected, nothing opens. There’s no option to read or listen and the book cover doesn’t even appear.
No Car Play ... No Apple Watch

But I have 20 min driving to work and I enjoy visiting park and in both situation . I cannot listen to the summary in both situation .
I tried to find an app to download mp3 to but it is complicated and not working with me so far .

Garbage
How can you have such a terrible app on 2020? I mean, you guys have been around for a while, you should have a functional app by now. You’re leaving all the market to apps like blinklist.
App doesn’t work
This app (and possibly the company) are bogus.
1. The search function will not return any book selections. Hence my library remains empty. I’ve not been able to listen to a single book.
2. I’ve tried to cancel my subscription, but when I select the Account view the product errors out. So, conveniently for them, their crappy product keeps me from cancelling my subscription.

Old Reviews?
Most of the reviews are old. I don’t know if it’s just me but the app doesn’t function at all.
Great product and easy to use
I use this app on a regular basis, downloading audio summaries for my commute every morning. This app saves me time and makes everything so easy. I highly recommend it!

Allows me to take my summaries on the road. Solid update to what used to be a slow app.

Not working on iPhones
This app have severe limitations preventing any content access from iPhones. Rumors the issues will be updated during August.
App Consistently Freezes
I wish I could write something good about the app but I cannot. The app freezes the moment I open it. Soundview provides a useful service; however, the app could use some attention.
Troublesome App Freezes a Lot
App keeps freezing. I like the content but it takes forever to load and gets stuck on an article and freezes. Even if I close the app or restart iPad and open the app again it's still frozen on the same article. I guess I need to delete the app and re download everything but what a pain!
