Unreliable at best, needs work
The Summerboard app is one of the weakest parts of the entire experience. Firmware updates consistently fail or never complete, leaving the board stuck in a half-functional state with no clear explanation as to why. When something goes wrong, the app provides little to no useful feedback—just vague error messages that don’t help you troubleshoot or fix the issue.
Basic information is also missing or unreliable. For example, the app does not properly display all assets, such as the remote’s battery life, which is pretty important when the remote is the only way to control the board. You’re left guessing whether an issue is software-related, battery-related, or a hardware failure.
When the board fails to perform, the app does very little to explain what happened or how to resolve it. For a premium product, the software feels unfinished and poorly supported. The board itself can be fun when everything works, but the app makes it harder than necessary to trust or enjoy the product.

Been using this app for 4 years, logged over 400 rides on the summerboard. Always been useful to be able to adjust the ride modes as I got better. The deadzone adjustment has been helpful too.
Board not pairing
App is rendered useless. I’ve purchased a used board. A new remote and a brand new charger. The app is only on apple not google play. My android is far too new for the app to even download on android so I’m on my girls phone. Now that I have the app the board won’t pair thus rendering the remote not to pair and it requires board to pair firstly which it does not. So I’ve got 1000$ of junk that will not connect and has thousands of articles online explaining others similar or same problems!

Remote help guide
If you watch the video on the guide it actually helps. I was a bit impatient before my first review. You actually have to activate the remote as you begin the count down. So press confirm to start the connection then turn on the remote. Won’t show the life still but it still connected back to my board!

App won’t show remote battery level
No matter what I do, the remote battery level will not show on the app. App not reading correct board battery levels

Won’t update and keeps going slow up hill.
Also it won’t turn off with the power button have to take the battery out to turn off and have to plus it in the charger just to turn on

New remote won’t pair
I don’t like leaving bad reviews. I will change it to a five star once my issue gets resolved. Bought a new remote and it won’t pair up to the board.
Remote Control
The app won’t show the remote control battery life. I have paired it multiple times. Hopefully a fix in the future and being able to switch riding modes on the remote soon would be a plus+
