it’s seamless, native and fast. it’s not in my way but always there if i need it. great app, would recommend anyone to download it. text appears super satisfying and it’s convenient that the summaries are stored in the same place where i read the article.

Why no option for LLM
The app doesn’t allow you to use the LLM of your choice. You must use ChatGPT’s API, which is nothing I want.

i am considering adding support for more LLM providers EDIT 1: since v2.20 Sumr supports Anthropic and custom (openAI compatible) providers EDIT 2: since v2.30 Sumr supports Google Gemini
Great Summaries
The extension gives summaries in an easily digestible way and provides key metrics instead of a blob of text. Good for getting the gist and deciding if I want to read the full thing. Also like that it uses my GPT key for better security and privacy and does not require a subscription. Simple and useful.
