One of the best app

I really like the map and the AR.

Maybe a button to lock the location on the map would be welcome!!!

A few efforts more and it’s a treat

That app is brilliant (pun intended :) ) but yet a few improvements away from being perfect :

1- somehow lacks a brief help/explanation for all modes & function. Yes the app is globally super intuitive, some info given (only in Location view) but some things are not obvious to find out except by fumbling around. e.g. (long) touching the date field in Plot+Map view to switch between day-sweep and hour-sweep modes…

2- a “return to my current location” button directly in the Plot+Map view would be much more convenient than having to go to Location screen for that

3- btw, seems there is bug in Plot+Map view when in “sweep hour” mode : long touching the date field + selecting “set to today” does not work… or it does, but immediately switches back to the former date at first touch.

4- if the “infinity yellow trace” in AR view is the sun path at same time of day along the year (is that it? -> see comment #1 ;) ), then it needs a cursor + a date field to give the possibility to sweep along the calendar and spot which position on that curve corresponds to which time of the year (that really is a must in fact! -> being able to simulate how would the sun be inclined, in the location I am, in function of the date e.g to assess the exact dates when a house is really hit by the sun during winter vs. when it becomes shaded by some mountain or tree…

5- AR view bug : switching to AR view then sleeping the phone or merely switching apps, returns to endless “AR session paused / resume AR in this view button” -> the button does nothing and no way to resume to functional AR except by killing the app altogether! (switching to other views and back don’t help)

Hopefully this all could get resolved in a next update… :)

Response from developer

thank you very much for your interest and this detailed review! Version 2.1 was released a moments ago taking into account some of your feedback. Next releases will address the other points! Thank you!
