The genius of some people. I like to walk at sunrise and prepare to set out about 30 minutes prior to the event. Until I stumbled across this app it’s been a minor pain in the derrière keeping up with time of sunrise from week to week but this app sounds an alarm, I get dressed, and I walk out the door. Seriously cool, boys and girls.
UPDATE: this app would be a bit cooler if it had an owl’s hoot for use as an alarm for sunset and maybe a slightly different one for moonrise.

I honor the sunrise and sunset with a prayerful nod, and this app is perfect for notifiying me for that.
Same with New Moons and Full Moons, easy to honor with the notifications.
Also love looking how much time I have left for outdoor activities- how much longer will it be light outside.
Even how much light is left to take the trash out to the curb. Yes, I actually have checked for that, lol!
Honoring the natural cycles of days and nights, full moons, new moons, equinoxes, solstices, all made easy with this app!

Simply The Best
Love this app so much, was a little confusing at first but I reached out to the developer and even though my message got sent to their spam they still found it and were super nice and informative and helped me fix the notification issue I was having. Can’t say enough good things about it, I have widgets on both my iPad and iPhone home and lock screens and on my watch face as well. Literally no issues within the app itself ever and the amount of customization for the widgets is just crazy.
Thank you guys so much for making this, it’s been extremely helpful not only for planning my day on the spot but planning for trips/events months in advance!
My phone updated by itself recently and offloaded the app and when I tried to redownload it wasn’t in the appstore. I was sooo scared that the app got pulled and also confused as to why, but I am happy to see that it’s back and was only gone for updates!

Doesn’t Work on Apple WatchOS 26.5
Does not work on Apple WatchOS 26.5 since latest update of the Sundial app.

This app is a total smash hit for me. The sundial ring is a must have for Apple Watch complications. It totally replaces other sun and moon apps. I really like all those widgets and complications. Thank you so much for the app.

This app is technically, graphically, and tactile-ly satisfying, a pleasure to use, a fine instrument.
Too Small for a standard size iPad
Great idea however on my standard size iPad the circular graph/diagram is too small and text overlaps too see easily. It is nothing like the preview in the App Store

I got the app free part many years ago and appreciated the very useful data, especially on the different twilights, and the intuitive visual displays. Only recently I bought the add-on pack, and it’s certainly worth the small one time fee. For me it was the complications and widgets. These are intensely configurable. I can’t imagine anything that isn’t coveted. You could never match the data or the info density with any other app widget or combo of widgets I’ve seen. Of course when I needed alerts they were as good as all the others. I love everything about this app.

No Support
I purchased this app in full & yet the watch app version refuses to recognise the purchase. Restarts etc have been unsuccessful. I’ve contacted support twice now (first time was ~ two weeks ago) and I’m still yet to hear even a word in response.
Elegant, simple, and useful
I have used this app to alert me on daily sunrise, mid-morning/afternoon, and sunsets; and enjoy playing around with its user interface to preview upcoming daylight trends. The moon phase is cool too, but doesn’t really matter to my day to day activities. A big thanks for allowing me to seamlessly glance at my iPad, iPhone, and watch to get a sense of the day. Just want to say, solar noon should always hover around clock 12:00; if the USA removes a time shift, then Standard Time needs to be adopted.

Downloaded this app this afternoon and tried to set it up just before going to bed.
It said:

Thank you so much for this beautiful and efficient app. I previously needed three different apps to track what I needed, but this brings everything together in one intuitive tool.
