What's New in Sunlight Checker

See when the building data behind your results was surveyed. The results screen now shows the data's edition and survey year, so you can spot outdated areas at a glance. BUILDING DATA YEAR - Right below the yearly average, you'll see a line like "PLATEAU 2024年度版(建物は2014年測量)" (PLATEAU 2024 edition, buildings surveyed in 2014) - Data surveyed 5 or more years ago is shown in orange. Buildings built or demolished after the survey may be missing, so compare with the satellite view IMPROVED - Every time you open a place, sunlight is recalculated from the building data (earlier results are no longer reused) - Places opened from Favorites or Recent Searches are calculated for the building you saved - Where two buildings meet, you can now save each building as a separate favorite - Building details now show "Unknown" for floors, areas and other values the data marks as unknown (previously they could appear as "9999 floors") FIXED - Choosing another place while a calculation was running could show or save the previous place's result or address - Changing the floor right after opening a favorite could keep showing the previous floor's sunlight hours - When a searched place couldn't be found, the screen could stay stuck on loading Note: When you're offline, the app now shows a notice instead of an earlier result.
