Buggy and Not Responsive
Terrible app that takes too long to make any progress in viewing/scrolling/editing. Even when you purchase the subscription it does not activate right away. One of the worst matchmaking apps out there.

Made a new profile, this had been wiped as well, joke app
App was updated and my profile was wiper. I contacted Sunnah match on 18.01.25. Was told it was pass to the coder. I chased it a few times was told same thing. Was then ignored. Been over two months. I contacted them again only to be told it has been passed on and it’s out of their hands. What a joke of service.

Buggy App/Unfinished product
I like the idea behind the app, and the UI is good as well, but why release an app that hasn’t been properly tested? It’s not the job of consumers to tell you what’s wrong with your app and then have you fix it. It’s your job to make sure you release a working product from the get-go. I paid $39.99, and I can’t even access the subscription perks. I’m stuck as a free trial user lol. On top of that, things don’t save properly, and the customer support has been rude when I asked a simple question to clarify something. I’m not going to lie, it just seems like the developers were in a rush to make money or something because I can’t fathom releasing a product this faulty.

They changed the subscription model and took away what customers already paid for
They changed the subscription model and took away my unused likes that I had already paid for under the previous subscription model. I still had most of them remaining, and now I’m being asked to pay for a new Premium subscription to get access back. Changing the pricing model is one thing, but removing something customers have already paid for simply because you now charge differently and for different things is unacceptable

A great update
The admin have responded quickly and professionally every time, and the latest update has made this app the best in my opinion for halal searching.
£2500? is it a MONEY MAKING SCHEME?
It it a money making scheme? Just saw a review about there a £2500 private service and the complaints about it, why does this need a private service if the app is supposed to be soo good? There's people on this app who cheat the system and put their telegrams which is haram, the owner and dawahman live luxurious lives in the UAE. Never forget Allah can help you get married without money.

Good App
It is a good app it is just very buggy when you scroll all of a sudden it just starts to bug and won’t stop. This app seems to be upon the sunnah. And people are actually serious for marriage. If the developers fix this bug problem it would have gotten 5 stars. But, just FYI I have not used the paid version yet, since it is too expensive.

Wasted my time to see costs money

As others mentioned, it seems like a money-making scheme. The app is full of bugs and low-quality features, targeted just to earn money rather than streamlining the matchmaking process for the believers. Often the app goes down completely. Seems like the team working on it is just using ChatGPT to write code with no skills whatsoever. May Allaah help the manufacturers to purify their intentions.
Also not to mention, men with predatory/unethical behaviour are not banned even when you report them.

Scam
App states that there is a free trial period however I was charged without ever attempting to try the app. I am now not able to get a refund and I was charged 43 dollars for an app I do not even want to use. Stop being deceiving and stating there is a free trial period if you plan on charging users right away.

Disappointing + Frustrating
As mentioned by others, the app has potential but it all seems like a money making scheme. The purpose is to make finding spouses easier yet you’re asked to pay £30 a month for what, to view profiles? Even a Netflix subscription costs 6x less than that. For those of us who cannot afford that, especially sisters (!), this is quite ridiculous and certainly does not seem so ethical. It does not make sense to prevent people from accepting a chat or a request purely because they do not have a subscription - at least one party does! Not to mention the constant app bugs that have been going on for probably over a year. Migrate to Pure Matrimony is my advice to customers. As for the sunnah match team - lower prices will bring many more customers and will probably increase your revenue so… think about it.

Broken and unusable
I can’t set a date of birth, I can’t set a phone number (error), I can’t delete my account and start again because it freezes everytime I click delete! Even on the desktop version it logs me out instantly everytime I click ‘settings’. It’s completely broken! Please fix!
Request for Limited Messaging for Non-Paid Members
I appreciate the values of Sunnah Match. However, completely restricting messaging for non-paid members makes communication difficult. Allowing at least one message, as before, would greatly help sincere users.

Assalamu Alaikum, I like the app and its purpose. But please make the chat feature free (at least a trial or a few free messages weekly). Many Muslims in countries without easy payment methods cannot benefit. Please consider this. JazakAllahu khairan.

The app seems to be alright. But a lot of the women on it seem to be pretty strict about culture etc. A lot of the user base is from the UK or countries around the world. It’s a bit buggy and it’s behind a massive paywall. Unless you pay 66 bucks for half a year you can’t do anything at all. Not worth the money. I also try to delete my account and it doesn’t seem to do anything

Not islamically compliant
Personally speaking, there is not enough filtering of weird men and predators. The admin team barely respond and if they do its half hearted disingenuous responses where they truly dont show any remorse for the situations brought forth. The co owner of the app is also looking for marriage and even one conversation with him made me realise it does just seem like a money game. His obsession with me not knowing who he was, was quite off putting and questionable. The app glitches and seriously it makes no sense why you cant see who’s viewed your profile. At least the free version should THAT available even if you cant ‘like’. Honestly, my experience has been terrible and men on there ive come across are just predators and not truly practising or have strength in their deen or taqwa! This isnt all men, but ngl a lot of them. May Allah guide us all!
