FAQ

What does Sunrise Sunset HD do?

Sunrise Sunset HD is an application designed to calculate precise times for sunrise, sunset, solar noon, dawn, and dusk. It can display this information for the current day or any selected date in the past or future, providing total daylight duration.

How does the app determine my location?

The app automatically utilizes your iPhone or iPod touch's GPS capabilities to determine your current latitude and longitude for accurate calculations. You do not need to manually select a city or location if you are using your current position.

Can I see sunrise and sunset times for other places?

Yes, Sunrise Sunset HD includes a comprehensive list of locations worldwide. You can select a city from this list or even choose a location from a world map to view the relevant times. This feature allows you to check times for places other than your current location.

Does the app require an internet connection?

When using your current location, a signal may be required for GPS. However, when selecting locations from the app's built-in database, Sunrise Sunset HD can operate entirely without a WiFi, cellular, or GPS signal, making it useful in remote areas.

What are the key features of Sunrise Sunset HD?

Key features include the ability to calculate sunrise, sunset, solar noon, dawn, and dusk; support for custom dates in the past or future; automatic GPS-based location detection; selection of locations from a large database or world map; and the option to save custom locations with their specific coordinates and timezones.
