Best game I ever played
So good
Review for adolescents
The app's ASMR and sensory components is the strongest features. The sounds are clear, exaggerated, and connected my actions, making the experience satisfying. The app also gives the player creative control over colors, textures, decorations, backgrounds, and sounds. These features make the game easy to understand and allow users to create their own slime combinations. The app has significant limitations in accessibility. It does not appear to offer specific accessibility features, for users with low vision or mobility limitations may have difficulty interacting with the game.
Steinberg (2014) describes adolescence as a period of significant brain development and plasticity, meaning that the adolescent brain continues to change in response to experiences and the environment. He also discusses adolescents' increased sensitivity to rewards. This connects with Super Slime Simulator as the app provides immediate rewards through satisfying sounds, visual effects, coins, and unlocking new slime options. This is also in line with Song et al. (2025) who looked at how Social Media in social media for self-diagnosis discuss. Although Super Slime Simulator is not a social media app like, the article is relevant because the game uses advertisements, rewards, and engaging sounds and visuals similar to social media apps to encourage continued use. These features may encourage adolescents to continue playing for the immediate reward the game provides.
Laser and Nicotera's (2021) discussion of media influences on adolescents is also relevant because adolescents increasingly interact with digital media as part of their everyday lives. The app encourages users to connect with social media by allowing them to download pictures of their slime creations and share them online with the hashtag #superslimesimulator. During adolescent development peer relationships become increasingly important during adolescence. Sharing creations online can provide adolescents with opportunities to share interests with peers
The App Store privacy disclosure also indicates that information may be used for advertising and tracking, and I did not find a way to opt out of all data collection while playing the app. Given the app's 4+ age rating, these privacy concerns because younger children and adolescents may not fully understand how their information is being used.
Overall, I believe the Super Slime Simulator 2/5 rating is appropriate. The app is visually appealing, easy to use, creative, and has a strong ASMR component that is relaxing . However, these strengths are outweighed by the frequency disruption by advertisements. The advisement makes the games almost unplayable. Although the app describes itself as an โAnti-stress game and relaxโ and promotes ASMR and stress release. I would be hesitant to recommend this app to younger adolescents for stress-management. It may be appropriate as an occasional recreational game, but I would not recommend it as a resource for adolescent to release stress as advertised in the App Store.
