Nice game!
Developers, I would love it if we could have a mode called “Boss Fight”, …
We can fight bosses whenever we want to, try out strong spells and combinations, and not have to fight opponents with low Energy/Health all the time.
We do get bosses at the end of each are, but then we have to wait until the end of the next area, which takes some time later on. So with this “Boss Fight” mode, we can fight big bosses any time.
Bosses can have 10,000 or more/less Energy so we can fight them longer. They can be of different types too, and have different play styles!
It can be quite fun and enjoyable instead of fighting the “Imps” we have now.

Don’t waste your time
TERRIBLE match algorithm. Have not played one single game with opponent of lower level. Have played multiple games with opponent of higher levels with much more health and higher damage skills. I assume this is the developers way of trying to get you to spend more money. Don't waste your time with this game. Not worth it. Previous reviews and developer responses attempt to tell you they are working on better algorithms. Its been years. No change. Again, don't waste your time.

10x better than i expected
i read most reviews and just thought yeah sure of course they’d talk good on this game they’re probably paying to win. I was instantly intrigued after downloading and paying to win isn’t to prominent in this game as i thought. the balancing is a little off but for the most part this is a quality game. it is worth a download and a try.

Love the game hate to leave a negative comment
Not sure if this is due to an update. But recently I’ve noticed I kept getting network errors saying my internet was unstable which is a lie since I have google fiber at 1g download and upload speeds. I finally figured out that if you go to the coroner of the screen to do an emote and if you even ever so slightly active the Apple swipe up feature for multitasking the game assumes you left the game and causes a loss and kicks you out of the game. This is very frustrating because the iPhone itself sees this was an error and doesn’t actually activate the multi tasking screen. It just moves the screen ever so slightly causing the game to think you closed it. Please find a way to fix this so I can give y’all the rating you deserve

Fun quick pvp that never gets old
I’m not one to write reviews, but it’s rare to download a game as HQ as this. Just get the game tbh it’s amazing NO ADS, MULTIPLAYER on LOW DATA, INTUITIVE PROGRESSION SYSTEM, and generous FREE CONTENT. < meaning today when i got on Super Spell Heros i got a pop up for a seasonal discount, i wasn’t going to spend money but i browsed what it had to offer, THE GENIUSES WHO MADE THIS GAME awarded me for looking through the options with a FREE dlc drop worth a lot of $ . Normally micro dlc is completely invalid of being a positive trait, however this game implements it PERFECTLY. i’m done now i wanna play

Whoever is in charge of the balancing updates should be fired, this game has become garbage now. Tokens shouldn’t count as elements and cards that remove elements shouldn’t remove spells. How many handicaps can you stack before you recognize that the actual game is getting in the way of the competition between players.
Don’t get me started on the checker pattern that develops on your map because of the terrible element drops. Constantly dropping mixed colors so you end up waiting multiple drop cycles before you can play anything.
They did a great job with the card sharing within the alliance but there’s no way to earn enough money to upgrade your cards, you end up stuck playing the same deck because it’s the only collection of cards you have that are up to par. Cards cost 100k to upgrade but the rewards pay you 1-2k coins even at the top tier.
There is no loyalty appreciation system, when you reach the top tier through all that grinding all that waits for you is disappointment since it seems like they give you less prizes and hardly any gold. There’s no incentives for reaching the top, it’s more like they spit in your face for being loyal to their game, they take away the prizes that kept you climbing instead of allowing you to farm coins to create a variety of decks..“The juice just isn’t worth the squeeze”..this game is a “chocolate covered sh*t”

Such a great game
I spend money in game, not a log, but here and there. The games are quick, fast and i can play several in the span of a few minutes. Such a good game. And then they updated it. If you like games where you cannot advance your characters because grinding negatively impacts you, you are gonna have a bad time playing this. Im not sure what high school game designer decided to change the structure, but losing matches is a death sentence in this game. Theres no way to get back your team #’s. And the designers decided that having someone 4 levels above you is a challenge while the ai bot is 2 levels below you. I quit, hopefully with the next update, i can edit my review and leave a better one. Game design is so easy and this game was so good. Idk why you decided to do what you did.

Pretty good, just one issue
This game is really fun. It’s got inventive gameplay and a surprising amount of depth. The only issue is the matchmaking. It’s really frustrating when I’m consistently place against somebody at least two level above me. Could it be possible to have the ability to opt out of such matches, such as a surrender button, or maybe have a specific mode of matchmaking for lower level players to ply against high level players, and get rewards as usual?

I love this game. I’ve played it for years now and have only taken a few breaks here and there. I love it as the mechanics are much different than most mobile games these days. There is just one, major, problem. The matchmaking is screwed up. I don’t know if any of the Sviper team will see this but every time I queue for a game, I’m always placed in a match with opponents two levels higher than me, meaning they have almost 500 more energy and way better spells. Please fix this because I know it’s not just me who has this problem. It has made the game impossible to play at times and makes me not want to continue.

easily one of best games I've played on iPhone!!
Awesome game!!! I've been playing for over a year and part of a clan with more active players than me. It's competition based card battles system is better than any other mobile game I've tried. It's free to play and has skins/gems/coin packs for sale but it isn't anything that you don't get naturally in game just slower. I've only paid maybe $10 in last year.

The tutorial of the game doesn’t explain the game very well. You have to figure out most of the games mechanics yourself. Most of the games mechanic you may not notice from my experience ,but this game is good. Game mechanics are weird and should be taught in the tutorial of the game. This game matchmaking needs to tweaked a little. I get matched with players with more health and way better cards that I have. I beat them but if that were a newer player going against the opponent I went against, the newer player would loose repetitively and most likely not play the game and delete it. If you fix this then this would the perfect free to play game imo.
Edit: Been playing the game for a while and I’ve cane to the conclusion that this is a very luck based game. At the start of the game you could attack or defend or neither. The spell book RARELY gives me new spells and I’m currently stuck of skill 4 and my opponents have a huge advantage over me due to their cards and health.

Issues
Unlocking new spells is horrible. It’s like pulling teeth. And I keep getting stuck on the victory screen, have to close the game and re-open it only to be told that I lost my last game because I left. After winning. It’s really annoying when you lose a skill rank because the game didn’t work properly.
Adding a friend is incredibly difficult compared to other games and outright doesn’t work most of the time.
The gameplay is fun though, when it works.

Absolute favorite magic based game
I remember starting out around 2018 and then randomly got bit by the urge to find the game again in 2020. I’m so glad I found it again because I’m having the MOST fun on a mobile device ever. It’s not pushy with the micro transactions and I have bought a few things. I don’t mind the quest time and the combat is fun and enticing for me. It’s strategic in its own little way but still enough to keep me interested.

Computer is a Ridiculous Cheat
This game took a drastic turn for the worse with a big update a few months ago. Now the non-player characters are just ridiculous cheats that have sapped most of the fun out of the game. NPCs have way more health and higher levels, with resulting more powerful spells, that become almost impossible to contend with. In addition, player characters are limited in how much they can upgrade their spells and skills - it’s a mechanism by the developer to force players to waste money upgrading worthless skills - and to get the money you need to watch more advertisements or spend real money. Overall what was once a good game has become so difficult to win matches and make progress that’s it’s just an exercise in frustration. Sad too because it was a staple for me for almost a year.

Good concept
It’s a great concept, and the gameplay is fun. However, the way it’s been monetized makes it nearly unbearable to play. Everything costs money, which you don’t earn enough at a fast enough rate to make a difference. It also takes a significant number of plays/wins to progress. It’s disheartening to see the progress bar between each level go up at such a snail’s pace. I also have a huge gripe with the fact that it’s online only. I would much rather play against bots and have smaller levels than against people.

Phenomenal game but there’s issues
The animations for some stuff, opening quest things, opening spell books, etc, are very slow and leaves me waiting for a couple seconds before actually getting the loot. Once I get the loot, specifically spells , it’s an antagonizing process to actually level them up. You don’t get enough gold to level them up, it’s not even relatively close. I also feel that either the balancing on some spells is broken, or it’s showing what the opponent is connecting wrong. Either way they got a 400+ shield out of 2 selected squares which isn’t fair as this is very early in the game, I downloaded this game 2 nights ago so my opinion may not mean much. Overall if you don’t view these complaints it’s a really good game!

Best Game Ever
At first i didn’t really enjoy the game, now that i have 6 hero’s and way too many tokens this game is absolutely amazing. I can’t thank the developers enough for this masterpiece. I got all of my friends to play and now we battle and practice together. I’m excited to see the future updates and to further advance in this game. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes games and can read. And people who are fans of magic the gathering would adore this game. Good luck!! 10 stars out of 5 stars!!

Bugs.
I completed a quest and I already unlocked Jane. And it put another 17% on jane after the quest that really did upset me as 3 hours of my time and I used gems was put to waste. This is a great game, but All i care to get is Asgard. All the rest of the heroes I could care less for. Just my preference. Why does it take soooo long to unlock hero’s and the quests are not for a specific hero they are random? They really want you to pay to play the game but first get people to join the game i’ve already joined clans where people have been afk for days. Its a dying game unless we get more gold quicker and matchmaking is better because everybody can agree its broken when you’re up against someone with 400 extra energy than you when you get a 12 skill like I have. Developers these are main points that if you change I guarantee people will play more. You can still have payment options but first let people get more gold and want to play. More players = more chances people will buy your packs, skins, and gems which I think are completely reasonable prices.
Update: I have to say as disappointed as I was about not getting the 17% towards another hero, I was pretty happy to have done an 8-hour chest and unlock Ra’ju completely. I have no idea how that happened but yeah pretty awesome for me at least. Its also another bug the developers should look into 😂👍🏻👍🏻

This is probably my favorite mobile game...
Super Spell Heroes has innumerable qualities that make it a stunning mobile game that I keep coming back too - For one, the gameplay is fun, and it never really gets boring. I was never a fan of Candy Crush and games of a similar style, but SSH is nothing like them. You’re attacking your enemies, and it feels that way. As you progress through the story, you learn new spells and unlock new heroes, keeping the combat upbeat and different with every area and level.
The graphics are stunning, with clean beautifully animated sprites, well designed stages, and cool skins. I’m constantly amazed with how good it looks... While not it’s not in full gritty detail, I’m still awestruck every time I open the app.
And finally, the icing on the cake: There aren’t any forced ads. Of course, there are ads, but I’m in Area 6 and I’ve never been in a situation where I need to watch an ad to progress. You can watch ads for small perks, like a handful of coins or gems, but they’re never necessary, which is relieving in a mobile game nowadays.

Not f2p friendly
Unless you’re planning on dropping money on this, prepare for lots of time logging in to watch ads and set passive quests. You can then do a few matches before they become a waste of time. Expect to die 60% of the time to paid players with huge stat advantages. And if you make it a few areas in, you will end up becoming extremely outclassed. It was fun for a little bit but really wastes your time if you play for free. It’s like you’re there to lose to the players who spent cash.
