Amazing App
It's one of a kind for keeping a record of both history and bookmarks and no other bookmarking app matched it. I hope more updates are to come!! :)
Says “Locked”
After a few month of using the app it just stopped working, showing only “Locked” in the middle of the screen without any other UI elements. Weird, no support, no solution.
Struggling. Worried offloading may have broke it. After updating to iOS 26 in October.
Crashes a lot when I go to click “more” to see more history. Also I can’t seem to find certain browsing profiles. I have over like 60 browser profiles. I like to create new ones constantly to hide my privacy from other users sharing my device. It says in some profiles on Surfed that there is like 1k results saved. But it’ll only show like 10 pages. Must be a bug. Anyway to fix it? Do you know if it is possible to fix the names of the profiles not showing on the bottom bar? It’ll show as invisible. Must be a visual glitch.

The blue menu please let us disable it
It’s annoying having the blue menu in the bottom right corner on every website I visit. It only just recently started popping up. I don’t want to disable the browser history but just want to disable the blue menu
Who asked for a browser?
Please fix the app we paid for before wasting time on a mediocre browser.

If you prefer not to use the integrated browser, you can disable it at any time in the app settings. The next update will also introduce another great feature for bookmarks. Messing with css, why?
While the extension is enabled, it changes select sites in a way that makes it impossible to read text. Why does this happen? How can I change this behavior? No support.

It’s likely that a web trigger is enabled, which can modify the formatting of certain websites and make the text difficult to read. Please check which web triggers you currently have active and try disabling them to resolve the issue. If you still experience problems afterward, feel free to let us know.
Most Powerful Safari Extension- Period
This app does NOT deserve the reviews it has gotten. I’ve been using Surfed for years. It’s famous among automators, developers, and shortcut enthusiasts. This app performs more than what… 10+ Safari extensions could do— for a fraction of the price. Calling Surfed an extension almost seems insulting as the app ALSO has a fully working standalone app (called a container).
The low reviews are because the learning curve is commensurate with its capability. It takes a bit of time to understand and set up. My ONLY gripe with this app is that it lacks a solid online manual/ documentation library. The app has some explanations in the app itself, but figuring it fully out will have to be something you do on your own while you configure it.
12/10 it is, without doubt, the most powerful, capable Safari extension on the App Store.

Doesn’t work
The app stopped recording my history on the Mac, and the developer did not respond to a support email. Also, I can’t figure out a use for this. Clever idea though.
OpenAI API Not Working
Matthias - after I’ve entered my OpenAI API Key and then try to “summarize article with AI”, I get the error “Incorrect API key provided”. I use my OpenAI keys a lot so can’t figure out what’s going on. I tried to use your “contact me” link in your website, but it doesn’t work.

Die App legt unerklärlicherweise für ein und denselben Mac andauernd neue, gleichnamige Profile an. Mittlerweile bin ich für einen Mac bei 24 Stück. Weiterhin werden im Interface völlig unklare Ansichtsmodi angeboten (“Space C32”, “Space E1C” usw. usw.). Ausserdem ist es NICHT möglich, über die App die iCloud-Daten zu löschen bzw. einen frischen Daten-Zustand herzustellen. Habe mit dem Entwickler vor 8 Monaten darüber gesprochen, es wurde ein Fix angekündigt, ist NICHT passiert. Jetzt, nach 10 Monaten Nutzung, wo eine Suche nach alten Einträgen richtig nützlich wäre, bekomme ich beim Suchen nur noch ein spinning circle of death zu sehen und ich muss die App abschießen. Schade. 19,99 EUR für die Katz.

Ich habe versucht, den Entwickler auf allen verfügbaren Kanälen zu kontaktieren – leider ohne Erfolg. Würde ich die Pro-Version unter den aktuellen Umständen erneut kaufen? Ganz klar: Nein.
Die Grundidee, den Verlauf zentral von allen Geräten und Browsern aus zugänglich zu machen, ist großartig. Doch in der Praxis hapert es an einer zuverlässigen Umsetzung der Synchronisierung. Auf meinem MacBook wird das Gerät in der Mac-App gleich zehnmal in der Geräteliste aufgeführt, während mein iPhone dort gar nicht erscheint. Positiv hervorzuheben ist immerhin, dass die iOS-Version reibungslos funktioniert – doch was bringt mir das letztlich, wenn der Entwickler nicht erreichbar ist und somit keinerlei Interesse zeigt, gemeinsam mit mir diesen Bug zu beheben?

Great concept, poor execution
I love the app and what it is trying to accomplish but the “finished” product is not very good. The extension hijacks the new tab view and, for the life of me, I can’t find where to change that and I do not recall being asked if I even wanted that to be changed. I have tried to use the support page to ask for help but clicking the link to request help only causes the page to reload. I was able to suss out the link to ask for help once but never received a response. If you are comfortable knowing that you get what you get and that you’re on your own after that feel free to give this a try.

I Liked The Concept But It Still Needs Work (And Not Just On The App)
I really like what this app does. I was surpised that the 3rd party broser support took two updates to get working but it does now which is nice. The app will change your default new tab page in a 3rd party browser without asking and thankfully the browsers will ask you if that is what you want. Be careful becuase if you ignore the message or accept it changing ti back is not something I have been able to figure out hwo to do. There does not appear to be any instructions on the developers site and the link to contct the developer doesn't do anything in any bwrowser that I have tried other than reload the page (I 've tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Arc and Brave all with the same result). I like it but this app will take patience.

Deleted my entire Safari History!
I downloaded wanting to edit my existing history. Once I realized it couldn't do that I removed it. Opened up Safari and one years worth of search history is gone without warning. Very, very bad to delete user data without notifying a user first!
This should have been buillt in Safari
When I forget what I've previously seen then I turn to Surfed to find it again. iPhone, iPad or Mac. Doesn't matter.

Not working, No Support
The app sounded great, and I bought the pro version, but it has not worked on my iPhone, my iPad, nor on my Mac. I’m sure I’m just missing something, but there’s no way to get support. When I go onto the app, there is no section for technical support. In the FAQ, there is no section for troubleshooting. There is a link that says contact me, which goes nowhere. I would write it at zero, but the lowest, alas, is 1.

Can't escape settings on Mac
I have the pro version on MAc, Ipad and iPhone, all workign great until recent update, and now i can;t escape settigns on the MAc version (other platforms OK). Very frustrating trying to contact the developer as teh link to "contact me" doesn;t sem to work either.
I like th eapp and it is better than 2 stars but fix it please.
