What's New in Surfshark VPN

5.1.0

October 22, 2026

▶ We've extended our split tunneling Bypasser to Safari. If a website blocks VPN traffic, you'll now see a prompt letting you add that site to your Bypasser list directly from your Safari browser. Once added, that site will bypass the VPN automatically on future visits; ▶ Surfshark app now seamlessly works on Apple's new iPhone Duo, so you can connect and stay protected on your new device from day one; ▶ As always, we added a few bug fixes and improvements.

Undecided so far

Connection speed seemed heaps faster with Nord.

Surfshark connects but streaming platforms do not recognise it. Never happened with Nord.

Always buggy.

Always so many bugs. Stops working on my phone constantly and have to reconnect to a new location all the time.

AI Slop

Latest release is full of AI generated UX. Half the main screen is now taken up by a massive title which is a complete waste of space and could be filled with useful controls (as was previously). Learn some UX principals, don’t hand it all off to AI to generate poor templates and layouts.

Best VPN out there!

I’ve have been a customer for almost 2 yrs and don’t plan on even searching elsewhere. Always works no and has a lot of extras that other platforms overcharge for.
