App does not work with latest versions of iOS

I just saw this in the App Store and picked it up on the spot. Sadly it has been unable to open since I downloaded it. Hopefully the designer will update. If the app becomes usable I will update this review.

Decent complement to moderator

It works well to calculate and keep track of route values. In fact, it’s very close to being useable for online play, but not quite, since it doesn’t “remember” who has the priority deal, but I understand it’s not advertised as a complete online play package. Would be nice some day, though... I guess it would work to share the SurveyParty file and a separate spreadsheet in a shared google drive folder or something. Also, it would be nice for this app to include descriptions of the minor companies and their abilities. All in all, good show!

18NY

I tried using this for a 18NY. Cool interface.

It did not have the crows foot upgrade. (#52). Could not use the program to play the game.

Maybe it can be upgraded.

Hard to tell if it’s working

Setting up a game is easy enough, but actually running one is a nightmare, with barebones tool tips. Claims to support most 18xx but actually appears to miss several points (1800 bonds and 1846 share price lowering as examples). Can’t see what’s in the bank or set up blocked corps for low player counts.

Also appears to list an unpurchasable IAP in regards to bookkeeping.

Super useful and lessens downtime significantly

Since we started using Survey Party, we've spent much less time recounting the same routes every turn and downtown is significantly reduced for players. We don't tend to use the stock tracking aspect of the app, but I appreciate the option. One negative aspect (that doesn't affect my rating) is that there is no option for 1844/1854. The maps for this specific version are slightly different, so we can't use the app when playing these 18XX titles.
