About

Svinga Loss turns a slow-motion video of your disc golf throw into motion trails of your arm, coloured by speed. • Film your throw in Slo-mo (120 or 240 fps) on your iPhone and pick the clip. • The app finds the throw, your throwing arm, the throw style (backhand or forehand) and the moment of release automatically. • Your arm's path is traced from the start of the throw to the release, coloured from blue (slow) through cyan and white to magenta at top speed. • See whether your speed builds into a sharp spike right at the release — the mark of an efficient throw — or stays flat for too long. • Snap ratio: how much faster the disc leaves than your hand moves. • Fine-tune start, release and throw style by hand, step the release one frame at a time, and choose how the trails look. • Save the traced video to Photos or share it. Everything runs on your iPhone. No account, no upload, no tracking. Tip: film side-on, with the whole thrower in the frame, in good light.

What's New in Svinga Loss

1.3.3

October 25, 2026

Build 1.3.3 (14): Re-processing a throw now also updates its artwork, the release frame in Compare and the thumbnail in Throws (before, they kept showing the first processing). Open a throw from Tune, change something visible and Process again. Video loading fixes. Pick a few of your own clips and the demo clip (hold New throw): the video should show in Trim and in Tune as before, also when you go back from Tune to Trim. If a video doesn't load, the app now says "This phone could not play the video." with the reason, instead of "Loading video…" forever. If you see that (or a note that loading is taking unusually long), please send a screenshot of it.
