Great video player, a couple minor bugs
An excellent mpv ios port with added framerate benefits.
However, when used offline it will occasionally display an unable to verify licence error message which renders the player unusable until internet is restored which is unacceptable.
Additionally, a connect to jellyfin option would be nice
Also, an option to reorder the bottom navigation bar and an option to move Svpcast to the video settings menu would be nice.

Unstable mess on iOS
I actually have the full license on PC and was contemplating buying it for iOS and AppleTV but the phone client is god awful. It crashes constantly during navigation. Pressing the eject button crashes the app, navigating to directory and trying to go back a level crashes, opening a video, closing it and attempting to navigate crashes. It’s completely unusable for me. A real shame as the PC version works amazingly (though I wish you could specify an exact FPS target instead of multipliers).
Update 2026-04-07: they’ve updated it to make it worse. Can only browse entire movie library, can’t search.

Crashes constantly, UI is a confusing mess. Skip this.
A truly cynical release from the devs. No love here.

"Не хватает поддержки m3u8" - поток m3u8 прекрасно поддерживается. Поддержки плейлистов нет, да. "Не воспроизводит m4v" - переименуйте в mp4, будет работать.

One major flaw short of perfection
While SVPlayer for iOS carries over many of the same features from SVP4Mac, it’s held back by an app-breaking flaw: Every time I skip to the next video in my carefully curated “Own” folder, a big blue infinite loading overlay obstructs my view of my video (which is otherwise playing back perfectly as I’d like). Clearly this is a bug, but it’s a frustrating bug nonetheless—and the only workaround I’ve found thus far is to close the app and re-open it every time I want to switch to a different video—and doing that defeats the whole point of the skip button. I’m happy to come back and update my review to 5 stars if/when this is resolved. As of this writing, however, the infinite load overlay that occurs every time on skip ruins my experience with SVPlayer to the extent that I regret paying money for it in the first place.

Прежде всего, самый главный минус:
- «ПОСТОЯННО» хочет проверять «лицензию»
Разработчик, ну не уж то нельзя сделать, что бы проверка была всего 1 раз?
Я не использую свп фильтры для «бутса фпс»
Однако, когда я БЕЗ сети, не смотря на это, приложение не разрешает смотреть видео, пока «не убедится в лицензии»
Это очень раздражает.
Это буквально единственный основной минус!
Я загрузил это приложение, так как хотел mpv player for iOS . (И хочу до сих пор)
Исправьте то, что требует постоянно проверку эту.
- я повторюсь, я просто хочу смотреть этим «МПВ ПЛЕЕРОМ», обычные видео, без фильтра от свп.
А для обычного просмотра, постоянно спрашивать о лицензии, поменьше мере , глупо?
Вот уехал ты на 2 недели, и у тебя нету сети…

Не работает
Не открывает большинство hls стримов и другие онлайн видео, стандартный плеер и vlc без проблем играют. Пробывал крутить настройки, это не помогло. Открывает стабильно, только уже скаченные файлы.
Настройки менял, думал что связано как то с cookies. Ничего не помогло, обратной связи в приложении 0, на сайте тоже.(точнее некуда писать).

В описании в AppStore указан email, на сайте указан email, в самом приложении есть кнопка "сообщить об ошибке" - но "писать некуда". Серьёзно?

Mobile YouTube streaming
I only wish that I could use this to smooth out YouTube videos without the need of a desktop pc or personal media server. Pretty cool app. Would love to hear whether or not ai is used to improve the capabilities of svp

It lags sometimes
Very good except
Overall the app does exactly what it says and has no ads from what I’ve seen so it’s amazing, the only issue though is that the UI is just too annoying and crowded and sometimes it doesn’t go away when tapping, I put 4 stars because of this but the app is very good.

Try turn off menu -> Settings -> Auto hide controls. Also UI behavior fixed in 1.6.0.

Works really well when it does, other times the frame rate feature doesn’t do anything and remains white

then there's nothing to do, like the video is high-frame-rate already (>=48 fps)
