Swarasthanas made easier

Perfect app to get swarasthanas right. We used guitar mode to identify notes.A little patience , you will get it. But the sthanas perfectly are set.so you can trust it right away.

Pitch analysis not working

Just got the app with lot of enthusiasm, but very disappointed that the pitch analysis is not working . Please do the needful.

Best App

I learn Hindustani classical, and I love this app. It must be greatly appreciated by Carnatic music students.

This app does not work.

I bought it to perfect my swarastana. The record function does not work at all. I wish to get refund.

Waste of money!!

I don’t like this app and it is not at all helpful in anyway!! I wish there is a negative rating... this app doesn’t record my voice in swara Sudham. I was expecting this app to me more like a shruthi detector/ tuner... more over I didn’t find any demo ( not sure if I didn’t search it properly ). Bottom line is money and efforts are wasted.. request people not to download this app!!

Swara sudham

Swara Sudham feature is not working. It’s not taking my voice and not doing the pitch analysis 😐🙄

Pitch analysis not working iPhone 6

Mainly got it for pitch analysis to help my children who just started Carnatic lessons. That feature is not working. Have reinstalled the app with no success

screen lock disable feature not available

The app doesn’t work when screen is licked and it doesn’t have the feature to disable screen locking.

Excellent practice tool for me.

I won 't quibble with the last reviwer's assessment of pitch tracking. For me it's not the point. Having a collection of vocal exercises in ragas of interest has been invaluable for me. Only wish I had had this 5 years ago when I first began to study Carnatic music. Well done!

Still need maturity of the app

The app may not be for beginners.

In "swara sudham", even while you are not singing, the graph continues to plot and does't change with your singing. Probably the app was plotting the graph for the inbuilt tanpura and not for your singing.

Excellent app please update with more

Kindly add madyastayi varisai in saralai varisai and if possible one male voice and female voice in a single scale which can help in learning gamagas in different ragas. This is an excellent app for music students. Just like a teacher in home. And even for experienced people... Great job.. Cheers

An excellent app for music students and for aspiring musicians

This is a fascinating app. The initial exercises are meant specifically for Carnatic music beginners. I can see both teachers and students using this app for the initial lessons.

The app does much more than that. The real time pitch tracker and the note identification exercises are great learning tools.. These two features are very useful even if one is not interested in the musical exercises. That is how I use this app.

I am having a lot of fun with the real time pitch tracking feature. Not just fun, it is incredibly useful to get that feedback in realtime. I used to spot check my note purity with Audacity on my PC but that is a very cumbersome procedure. With this 'swarasthana' app, given how easy it is, it can be almost a daily ritual. Getting this kind of real time feedback is extremely useful during practice.

I checked my singing. My singing skills are hopelessly bad and this app shames me by showing that visually :) That kind of shaming is good shaming!

I urge patents of little kids who are just starting on singing lessons to check their singing accuracy several times during the practice session. In can get to be a motivating factor for them to get the app hug the flatline of the note for as long as they can.

The note identification exercises ( swaragyana) are very useful too for students and lay people who have a passion and interest in music.

I feel I already got enough value out of this app in just one day of use.
