Light button doesn’t respond

For scanning, no matter how many times I click on the light option to turn on the LED flash, the option does not respond. Light remains gray. Please fix this annoying glitch.

My device is an iPhone 13 on the latest iOS 26.5.

Nope

It's full of invasive ads and extremely limited. If you need a tool to do this this is the last recommendation.

Way to screw up an app over the years

Distracting icons, popups, the save PDF story is clunky with multiple icons and options overlapping instead of suggesting the Files API, auto upload still works as it used to though. Also stupid upsells, links to other apps, asks for your contacts, offers fax with credits. Truly squeezing the 2020 acquisition, eh?

This app could be great

When you create a folder to scan a document into, it doesn’t automatically create that folder in OneDrive. So all files get dumped into the same folder.

Why the “AI”?

This app has been working perfectly well for years as SwiftScan. Now you’ve suddenly added “AI” to the name. Why?

If you are really using LLMs to process scans, you should tell your customers what ones, since you must be sending data to them. Which would also be in conflict with your privacy guarantee.

If you’ve added “AI” merely as the buzzword of the moment, well, don’t. It makes some customers likely to delete the app.

breaks when you need it most

This app uses a monetization first business model, which has unfortunately made it reliably useless when I actually need it. Making it doubly annoying, swiftscan uses scammy casino style agressive nagware splash screens to try to convert you to a paying customer, so 1) the app breaks, 2) you have to wade through ad after ad in rapid succession to get the ap started again, 3) you have to MANUALLY enter in your icloud credentials despite being logged in already to regain access, and 4) 3 doesn’t work. This has happened to me 100% of the time I have been in a conference with limited connectivity. Imagine you have 10 seconds to snap a photo and scan someone’s business card and you are instead fighting through nagware in an app that YOU ALREADY PURCHASED. The features of this app used to be great, but their agressive monetization to the exclusion of usability is disqualifying. This company holds its customers in contempt. Look elsewhere.

MAJOR SCAN PROBLEMS

In the beginning, it worked great once they purchased the pro and VIP packages. However, now years later, the app is not syncing with the iCloud account with iOS. And after several emails to Customer Support resolutions have not resolved the issue. Tried the old-fashioned method delete the app and reinstall it, but it never asked me for a LOGIN or Password and Never started syncing with ICloud (iOS)

Aplicativo fica cobrando mais de uma vez

Tenho uma assinatura ativa. O aplicativo fica me oferecendo a assinatura como se eu não tivesse. Eu colocava a assinatura e ele dizia que como tinha uma assinatura ativa não seria cobrado. Ele me cobrou uma assinatura e fui cobrado duas vezes por um mesmo serviço. Quero a devolução do que pague.

Thanks for your feedback. Subscription billing is handled directly by Apple through the App Store. First, please check your subscription status under Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions to confirm whether there are duplicate active plans. To restore your access in the app, open SwiftScan, go to the upgrade screen, and tap the Restore option. Also make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase. Updating to the latest version of the app and restarting your device can also help refresh your subscription status. If you were charged twice, you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If restoring your subscription does not resolve the issue, please contact us via Settings > Contact Support within the app so we can review your account and assist you further.

From great paid app to nag app

This was a great app. But now it spams me daily with offers to buy the app, even though I’m already paying for an annual subscription. On top of that, the app doesn’t load if you’re on poor WiFi/internet. What sort of crazy tracking is it doing if it won’t even work without internet? It’s just a scanner!

Ipad sync issues

Ipad mini 7 not syncing. App is updated and i tried deleting app and reinstalling app. Still not syncing.

Version 9.6.73: OK scanning app + how to make it better

PROS:
The outline and instructions make it easy to take a good photo to use as a scan. If the photo is crooked it will automatically straighten it.

The settings offer the option to automatically send your scan to Photos.

HOW TO MAKE IT BETTER:
“"SwiftScan" Would Like to Access Your Photos” - yeah, I bet you do. Stop asking to access my photos - we’ve got enough problems with the government trying to access our data, we don’t need apps doing it too.

Make the icons a bit more user-friendly. At the moment they’re pretty abstract.

When trying to do functions that are only in the paid version (e.g. changing the name template), it should be made clearer that you have to purchase the app to do those functions.

CONCLUSION: An OK app, with plenty of room for improvement - 3 stars.

Review

I asked for a seven day free trial but strangely they charged me 57 CAD for a one year subscription without my consent. It is ridiculous!

Used to be good…

Feels like this app is trying too hard now. I’m an original paid user and now every time I open the app it shows a full screen upsell to their $60/y IAP. Wouldn’t get that value out of it as I only scan a couple of things per year. Will use the basic functions built into iOS. Thanks for the great app for the first few years of its life but for now it’s goodbye.
