Hi, water sampling is done by your council. Unlike the rest of New Zealand, Auckland's council doesn't do water sampling any more - you're not seeing any recent data because there isn't any! This summer the app may be updated to contain your council's "predicted water quality", which is what they do instead of sampling.
Doesn’t work?
This app doesn’t seem to have any data about water quality on it. It’s pretty much just a map or NZ currently.

This was a bug which meant no sites were displayed for some people the first time they opened the app. It's been fixed now (5 Feb 19). Thanks for reporting it and sorry for the confusion! Install your app updates then give the app another try – there's some really useful information in there.
