About

SwipeDelete clears the photos you already meant to delete. It scans your library on the device and groups what piles up: similar shots taken seconds apart, screenshots, and large videos. Each group becomes a card in a deck, and three gestures decide it. Swipe left to delete the whole group. Swipe right to open the group and choose what stays. For similar shots the app marks the frame it scored best, and you can change that pick before you confirm. Swipe up to keep everything and move on. Videos come one to a card, so a left swipe deletes that video and an up swipe keeps it. Nothing is deleted while you swipe. Your choices are held until you open the review screen, where you can see everything marked for deletion and take anything back. Delete now sends the whole set at once, through a single system dialog you can decline. Deleted items go to the Recently Deleted album in Photos and stay there for 30 days. Any swipe can be undone. Nothing leaves your phone. There are no accounts, no analytics and no servers. Photos are read, compared and deleted on the device and are not sent anywhere. There are no ads and nothing to buy. Requirements iPhone running iOS 26 or later, in portrait. Full access to your photo library. Finding similar shots means comparing every photo, so a partial selection cannot work. That access includes changing the library, which the app needs because deleting is the point. Nothing is removed without your confirmation in the system dialog.
