The Best Game Till It’s Not

This game is a solid 5 for me. Or at least, it was. Beautiful, bright, and colorful with gorgeous, serene music and lovely sound effects. The story part is fine, the potion making is pretty useless, but what kept me logging in daily was the gameplay. You could watch ads and get special power ups or infinity lives, sometimes I might get stuck but I eventually made it through so I never got frustrated. I looked FORWARD to playing every day. Some boards felt like actual puzzles to figure out which made it more than just a match 3 game.

But I’m ready to uninstall which is disappointing. Somehow the game just downgraded, boards were almost impossible to pass, every one was a slog. Then, somehow the frogs got WAY stupid and would help you lose levels vs winning them. THEN, they took out the events (where you earn different power ups and coins), which made the boards even MORE difficult to pass. And I’m not quitting on say, board 100-something, I’m currently on level 2790 (!) and I think I’ll just quit. I use to play certain boards 20 times before I passed and still be happy to play. But without the events to build up power ups without spending real money, it’s not fun anymore or challenging, just feels broken.

I think I ran out of levels

I’m over level 3,000 and the level button has disappeared, does this mean i’m out? Is it over? 💔💔💔 Needless to say good game, I understand the middle aged women and their candy crush so much more now than I ever have.
If it’s a glitch I hope it gets patched soon, if not and i’m just cracked I hope the devs consider making new levels 🙏

Amazing

This game is amazing especially the times she has a vision, I really recommend this game if you are really into mystery’s, missing people, and cliff hangers ( also if you don’t cliff hangers are they are something that like you get really exited about something and then 2 seconds after that it just ends, but I don’t mean it just ends forever I mean till the next episode). So anyways it’s really realistic and Linda kinda gets scary at the end of chapter 3 but umm it’s also kinda weird. But one thing about this game it goes on forever basically. I was just going to say to the developers in this game, there is nothing absolutely nothing wrong with this game that I know of. Also if you don’t want to have a lot of time on your screen then don’t download this because your gonna lose track of time, when I meant by that I spent 5 hours thinking it was only thirty minutes. But I love this game because it’s realistic, you basically get obsessed with it, witchcraft, you picture it inside your head, and you really can’t get off it.

Totally recommend this game for anyone!!!

AMAZING

I just started playing this game but it's already really really good, the puzzles are somewhat challenging but not so difficult that they're frustrating like most other games and I like how it's mostly story without having to do lots and lots of puzzles to continue the story, usually just one and the story itself is really interesting so far. I LOVE THIS GAME.

(Bug report)

When you tap the Play button to start a level, the game will very occasionally not respond immediately. If you tap the play button again during this time, the subsequent load time at the start of the level is much longer, almost as the it’s trying to load the level assets multiple times based on how many times you pressed the button. Unfortunately this bug isn’t very reproduceable, it seems random.

Also, there’s a missing music trigger at the start of Chapter 19, Task 5 (I think), titled “Go to the lake”. The title screen music just continues to play over the story.

Oh and, since this is technically also a review, uh, I absolutely love the game. The writing has no reason to be this good, and the gameplay is just fun. (But never spend your coins on Continues, folks, it’s never worth it!)

Hi there, It’s always nice to have honest reviews from players. I'm sorry to hear that your game is taking a longer time to load. I'd love to help you sort it out, so if you can give me a few more details via the contact forms on either the in-game support page, or at support.wooga.com, so we can start investigating the loading issue right away. Also, please report the music issue as well. Apologies again, Wooga Support Team

😢

Sad it ended…

I really like this game but..

The new feature with the age thing is annoying because it quite literally says 12+ on the app but I put in that I was 15 and I was apparently too young. Now I’ve lost my progress :( I think it used to be rated 15 plus but then went to 12 and up. So that’s kinda ridiculous.

Response from developer

Hi there, Oh no! Losing your progress sounds very annoying. Fortunately, we can work together to sort out what is happening but we need a few more details. If you can get in touch via the contact form at support.wooga.com, we’ll be able to research the problem nice and quick. Hope to hear from you soon. The Switchcraft team

What the hell is with the frogs and rewards?

Hey, Wooga. I downloaded Switchcraft a long time ago. I love this game, but as of late I’ve been finding myself extremely frustrated with a few aspects.

1. Why are the frogs so stupid?
Before they were updated, the frogs were actually useful. They would help you with your objective. But now, unless I summon an army of them with the rainbow ball, they do the least helpful thing ever. For example, instead of breaking the gem underneath a key or fox, they just break a box! The box doesn’t matter! Don’t even get me started on their decision making when I fuse them with a line gem or a bomb gem. They go for the place they’d help the least- it’s like they’re doing it on purpose. Please make them like they used to be. Right now they’re virtually useless.
2. Bad reward system
I have to watch ads to be able to beat most levels. I can’t get enough coins, both from level rewards, from Magnus, or ads. The price to buy more lives (900) doesn’t seem like much at first, but when you consider that you get mostly 20 coins from everything, it’s not worth it, and just a waste of money. I remember when Magnus would give you useful power ups all the time, and the ads would too. Now most of what you get is just collection items. The infinite lives are pretty useful, but I can only get them once in a while. Either lower prices significantly or increase rewards- simple.

Now, for the level rewards specifically-
•what’s with the magicka earning for hard and super hard levels? I think that a hard level should give you two magicka, and a super hard should give you three.
•Please make the coin rewards greater. 50 coins for beating a level and increase it by 50 for each difficulty, perhaps? I can’t fathom why super hard levels would only give you 80~ coins.

Please do something about this! The game is much less enjoyable than it used to be.

level 41 KILLS all momentum and desire to keep playing.

this game was relatively easy and engaging in the beginning. the story is strong and i kept coming back to play. however, it takes a MASSIVE difficulty spike at level 41. it got to the point i started looking up tutorials online. and then i (and other players) noticed something. level 41 used to be easier. it used to be 17 butterflies with 24 moves. however, they changed it to 21 butterflies with 17 moves. why? my guess is to make more money. i’m not about to sink my money into a game that spikes the difficulty and artificially changes difficulty just to make a quick buck. i was invested in the story, but this is a dealbreaker. i’m probably going to end up deleting this game because of this. do not download this game unless this gets patched (which i doubt it will be because according to other users this has been a problem for almost a year).

Impressive game!

I have to say, what a wonderful and well developed game this is. The story is intriguing and fantastic and you guys did an excellent job creating this game. I love it, and im a straight guy lol. Hard to put my phone down with this game. But i only have one issue, ive been stuck on a level for almost 2 days now and if I don’t beat it by tomorrow unfortunately i will delete it and will come back and change my feedback to a 2 star rating because there is nothing worse than being stuck on a level for days kinda forcing people to spend real money to pass the level. I’ve already spent money on this game and wont spend anymore. Spending money on this games constantly its a waste of money because you will get stuck over and over and it will require you to spend money over and over and im not a rich person with money to throw away on this stuff. I spend money here and there with the intention to help developers out, kinda like a donation. This game however deserves it to spend a few bucks here and there but i wont spend anymore. Please, fix the difficulty because i will love to know how this story ends. What developers need to understand is that making games so difficult that you get stuck for days will make the game boring and you will lose customers or “players” so please don’t make the game so difficult.

Amazing

Would be the perfect game if I was able to hold Rosie’s hand, otherwise the story is captivating with a great mix of gameplay to keep player engaged without speeding through the storyline

Sadly the story came to an end!

I love this game have been playing it for a long time and finally came to the end of the story. Definitely a unique experience and am thinking of restarting it to continue playing. I really enjoyed the story line and everything in the game. I hope the developers are going to continue to create more chapters for the characters because it would be awesome to see more adventures of them or maybe even create new chapters of each character, their perspectives or own adventures. It would be unfortunate to just end the story and only be able to play the matching portion because it all ties together and is a major part of what makes this game so unique and fun. Hope to see something new soon until then I’ll be replay it from the beginning.

Hello, What a marvelous review! We put so much work into making June's Journey the best game possible, so it’s such a boost to all our working days. Thank you for putting a smile on our faces. Happy adventuring! The Switchcraft team

the best game app ive ever had

i love this app so much! I’ve been playing it for almost a year now, almost every night when i get in bed. the puzzles are great and satisfying and the characters are all so lovely! i love being Bailey :)

i got got by a targeted ad for this but i am not mad about it at all! it’s a perfect little game with a great story and world to play it in. the powerups are all great and i love the system of watching the ads on the plant daily to get them. i always hope for an infinity life but if i run out and don’t get one it’s probably time to stop playing for the day. i easily spend at least an hour with Switchcraft every day!

thank you to the devs for making the best game app i’ve ever downloaded :)

Dramatically underrated

I have played some puzzle games and this one beats most of them in every aspect. Very enjoyable puzzles (some of them really challenging), visual side great and suits the story, music and sounds are a vital part of the experience.

Story? Well, maybe it is not the pinnacle of writing in games, but I was still pleasantly surprised. It gets quite interesting; I strongly advise to farm gems before reading, because it might be difficult to stop. Characters gain quite a lot of depth as the plot progresses. Yes, they are sometimes annoying, make stupid decisions, behave in irrational or downright terrible way, but that makes them human. The character and relationship development is for me the best part of the story.

Game is truly free to play and win. There are some daily rewards that can be obtained after watching the ads, but this is limited and apart from this optional feature, the gameplay is not disturbed in any way. Very much appreciated!

Overall - as the title says. This game should be somewhere on the top of puzzle games’ rankings and I fail to understand why it is not the case.

Ah, this is important! Naomi is cute. The game needs more Naomi and her summer dress!

Great game

I do love this game. It is hard I’m some instances but most of the levels are doable. The only this I dislike about it is not being able to personalize the character and having to follow the side stories. Those are really a waste of stars when that are mostly irrelevant to the main story. Additionally, there should be story options where you can choose which story to follow and complete instead of just chasing after Lydia. Like being able to learn magic, or solve other mysteries at the academy. But overall I love this game. It is one of the few that I still play. I made it to level 2,164 before I accident turned the language to Spanish and reset it while trying to get it back in English.

The one that survived.

I would routinely play and download multiple match-3 games. You know the endless cycle; out of lives in one, play another, wait for the heart cooldowns, rotate. Switchcraft is the only one I have now. It’s not bombarding you with events and paywalls and dailies. I play and it doesn’t feel like the randomized difficulty to make you purchase in game content. And if I run out of lives I can just play the story. The characters are diverse in a way, but I will say they all feel very immature and quippy for shallow humor. Definitely written for a younger audience, but still entertaining enough to engage with.

Wonderful game

I don’t usually play games but I’m addicted to this one. I love how you aren’t bombarded with ads at all and it is completely free! You have the option to buy things like coins and stuff like that but you don’t HAVE to buy anything to progress in this game. The storyline is very interesting, love that you can engage and select options, and the bubble shooting part is super fun and not too hard but a good challenge as you continue to level up. This is such an amazing game and I don’t leave reviews often but this game deserves a great rating because it is awesome!!!

Difficult Levels

I’ve been playing this game for about a few months and I’ve really enjoyed the story aspect tied into the levels. My only complaint is that some levels are extremely difficult to a point where i’m trying to pass it for a week. It is also rare that I have any power ups available to help with the levels. It seems impossible to get those without buying them. Anyways i’m on level 263 which isn’t even labeled as hard, and i have been stuck for a few days now and don’t really have the money to buy anything. I’ve had this issue with several other levels which makes the game not as fun anymore. I like a challenging game but not to a point where it takes me days to accomplish one level.

Good up to a point, but then…

This plot-driven puzzle/visual novel game was quite charming and fun, with well-drawn artwork and genuine choices to be made throughout as you navigate this compelling world of witches, warlocks and exploding gems(!)

Sadly, things take a turn for the worst around level 47, when it becomes increasingly clear that in order to proceed through the puzzle levels pure skill or luck just ain’t enough. You need to spend oodles of hard cash, and all the time and effort you’ve invested in this game up until now has just been a lead-on to that.

Not me, hombre. As soon as the scam was revealed I quickly uninstalled the game, with the £4.49 they wanted for a ‘beginners pack’ of 2000 going destined for Christmas presents instead. Shame, because I’d like to know what’ll happen next… but you ain’t pumping me for quarters at such a difficult cost-of-living crisis. Nice try, though now 😜

J’adore ce jeu et les personnages

Je vous adore. Merci. J’aimerais un peu plus de romance avec le love interest comme Gilmore et Dylan.
