User reviews

Great game…

I’ve been playing this card game with family for a while and am glad to see a competitive version of this against bots so I can keep practicing to get better and hopefully earn my inheritance. The ad-free experience, simple animations, and overall realistic experience earn this app 5 stars. I have read previous reviews about the computerized players overpowering the user, and while I agree the opponents are very difficult to beat; it is possible, while not common. It takes a lot of skill, strategy, and attentiveness to stay on top. However, the player to my left just seems to get the most convenient cards and consistently has significantly more wins than everyone else. “He” is the only player anyone else cannot beat. It seems a little suspicious and simultaneously frustrating. I am going to keep honing my skills and try to prove this theory wrong, but I am convinced that this player has a bit of an advantage by getting all the right cards. Ultimately, I cannot complain as the app is free and very user-friendly, with several settings that adapt to many scenarios, and gameplay is challenging and consistent. The cherry on top is the developer reading and replying to every review. That speaks volumes for an app and I know he is learning along the way, so I’ll end with this: You have done a great job so far, you keep improving things, and I know you will do what is necessary to make this the best card game on the App Store. I am excited for the success this developer will have to offer in the future!

You won’t win

I like this game a lot but you won’t win.
Also, do you think there would ever be an option to play with friends instead of just computers. That would be amazing

Great game

This code follows the actual rules of the game which I appreciate!

Not fun

Too many AI bots playing against you.
I have played 310 games and only won 21. The 3 players you play against always have too many wild cards. It could be a fun game if you dealt random cards to each player. The AI players all seem to play against you. So what’s the point a computer can beat a human?

It's Got Me Hooked

Great app. We recently learned this card game and soon after I went searching for an app. Found this one and like it a lot. Highly recommend.

A few tweaks I would love to see:
- An undo button. Sometimes I fat finger the wrong card or just immediately realize I didn't make the best play.
- Make my screen stay on longer. I often play while doing other things in between turns but then I have to keep opening my phone back up. I wish it'd stay awake longer.
- Make the game stay put even if I have to switch to something else on my phone. Sometimes I come back and it's still in the same game, but most of the time it has reset and I have to start a new game. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. I would like to just pickup where I left it.

Down the road, maybe you could even play with other players?? My whole family would love that!!!

FAQ

What is Swoop Card Game?

Swoop Card Game is a digital card game where the objective is to be the first player to play all the cards from your hand. Players strategically play cards onto a central pile, aiming to create 'Swoops' by playing four cards of the same number in succession or by playing a 10 or Joker. If a player cannot play a card, they must pick up the pile.

How do you win Swoop Card Game?

You win a hand by being the first player to play all the cards in your hand. The game ends when a player reaches 300 points, with points being tallied from unplayed cards in opponents' hands at the end of each hand. The player with the lowest score when someone reaches 300 points is the overall winner.

What are the special cards in Swoop?

The special cards in Swoop are the 10s and Jokers, which are referred to as 'Swoop Cards'. Playing a 10 or a Joker immediately removes the pile from the table and grants the player another turn. These cards are also worth 50 points if left unplayed in a player's hand at the end of a round.

Can I play Swoop Card Game on different devices?

The provided description does not specify compatibility with different operating systems or devices. However, as it is a digital card game, it is likely designed for mobile platforms like iOS or Android.

What is the point system in Swoop?

In Swoop, Ace through Nine cards are worth their face value in points. Jack, Queen, and King cards are worth 10 points each. The special Swoop Cards, the 10 and Joker, are worth 50 points each. At the end of a hand, players count the points of their unplayed cards, and the game concludes when a player reaches 300 points.
