Insanely buggy

I’ve been getting emails saying I have a pending match but there is no way in the app to see it; clicking anything freezes the app, so you have to force quit, then you’re back to square one. Also, adding a second, third, etc picture wipes your previous pictures - it’s like the developers have never used this app themselves or tested a single thing.

Too Many Bugs; Has Potential

I LOVE the concept and idea for this app. It’s like Meetup but for volunteering with a dating app feature. However, I don’t know if I can’t figure this app out or it crashes too much. It almost didn’t let me upload photos and filling out your profile is a pain due to the interface. The Back/Save/Next menu covers half the screen. Then your profile doesn’t even show all the info they prompt you to fill out. Most of my profile disappears when I preview my profile, yet it is all there when you go to the edit screen. The info I wrote in the what I’m looking for and bio are more important and informative than the silly prompts, not sure if you can even delete the prompts. I work but I also have two college degrees yet it doesn’t let you say you’re working and graduated. I wish we could customize our profiles more or this is some sort of bug. Lastly, are we not able to filter potential matches by religion and other life factors like doesn’t have kids and doesn’t smoke? I ended up deleting my account because I don’t want all my daily potential matches to be an incompatible waste of time. However, this app has a lot of potential!

This App is Amazing!

I wanted to start getting involved in my community by volunteering but I had absolutely no clue where to start. After some searching, I found Swoovy. They have all of their volunteer opportunities listed right in the app and you can just pick which ones your interested in. This app has saved me so much time when searching for ways to get involved. I will definitely be on board with Swoovy for a long time

Dating done differently

I usually never write reviews, but Swoovy has created such an unique service that I thought that it deserved a couple minutes of my time. Dating is such a weird thing to navigate and my experiences on Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, etc. left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I wanted to create real connections that went past surface level conversations. Swoovy really enables this by allowing my matches and I to come together and create impactful change through our volunteerism . I found myself looking forward to each date because the connections I were forming were more genuine, and even if I was not romantically interested in my match, I found myself with a great friend at the end of the date. If you want to form real connections while also giving back, you definitely need to try Swoovy.

Swoovy for Couples

My partner and I have enjoyed browsing the volunteer events on the couples side of Swoovy. There are a lot of different ways to get involved around the city and the Swoovy platform makes it easy to find a date night activity to do together!

Great volunteering app for singles and couples

I participated in my first Swoovy event two weeks ago and really enjoyed getting to know the volunteers at CASA and participating in the live Zoom chat. The Swoovy app made it easy to find something I was interested in attending and provided ways in which I could engage others in joining me. Given the limited options out there now with social distancing, I was impressed with all of the options available through Swoovy. They do a great job keeping me in the loop with upcoming events via texts and emails, which is convenient. I really enjoy popping in the app to see what other upcoming events are happening near me. Although I missed a virtual music event I was interested in going to last Wednesday, there’s always something new and noteworthy being promoted. I feel like the app is a great way to explore what the city has to offer in the way of volunteering. Thank you so much for all the great work. Keep it up!

Cool app

Love to see volunteering and dating combined! Great people all around.

Great Idea!

This is a great idea for a dating app! I love the fact that you can volunteer for your fist date!

Swoovy

Swoovy is an amazing app for dating in 2020!

Good idea for dating

I like the concept. Going to give it a try.

Best dating app there is!

Forget Tinder, Bumble, okcupid, all those dating apps. Swoovy is where it’s at!

This is the app that Austin sorely needs. It’s time to get real with dating, and there’s nothing more real than helping your fellow human beings!

Do good. Feel good. Be good. And maybe meet that better-than-good special someone while achieving all that good!

Best way to meet people

Great app and even better concept!

Needs fixing and improvement

I though I would find a match very easily with this app but then it went to hiding my profile and keeping it hidden even though I kept trying to get it back to being unhidden and so far I have not had any luck with finding anyone I have the app since June 21rst 2019 and now it’s 2020 and I have not found a single person to date or volunteer with
Swoovy you need to completely update and fix this and add more features like another form of chatting or something
When I first signed up I was expecting immediate matches based on my interests and hobbies and beliefs

Most of the people who become interested in the events I see on my feed are 34-68 years old no one my age is on there

Disappointed

I have been on the app for about 5 months and I have not been invited to any events. I am not even sure how I would know if I did get invited to an event. Also all most of the events are early in the morning on weekdays, when people are working or too early in the evening to fight traffic to let the dogs out after work and then get back in traffic.
Giving the app 3 more weeks, and then pulling the cord. Who knew it’d be so hard for a man to invite a lady to attend an event they’d like to go to. It’s volunteering not a marriage proposal!!!

So much less awkward

I love this idea, especially because you’re meeting a likeminded person and the dates are doing fun volunteer stuff. It makes it so much more comfortable than a first date at a random coffee shop.

What a great idea!

I’ve been in the dating app game for a while. This app is such a breath of fresh air! So excited to see it grow like crazy and meet some community-minded matches!

Verification Code

I use an iPhone 6S Plus and it won’t even send me a verification code when I plug in my number. I love the concept but the app doesn’t work.

Non-Functional

I actually volunteer, so I thought this app would be a cool way to connect with similarly-interested individuals.

My first encounter with the app was that it crashed while setting up the profile.

Even after I set everything up again, the only thing it shows me are volunteer events (no potential matches), and while there are typically one or two women listed as going to the event, I can’t even figure out how to see their profile or know anything about them other than a tiny circular profile picture.

Apparently you can “invite” someone who’s interested in going to a volunteer event, but they’re a total stranger that you haven’t even introduced yourself to at that point!

The whole system is a mess! Very poor execution.

Great concept, flawed execution.

I think this is a great idea and a good way to get to know someone in a more relaxed way. But, there are issues with the app’s functionality. Even though I’ve put in my ideal age range, my match Pool is way outside of it. There’s is also repetition of volunteer activities. They show up in my suggested match feed even after I’ve swiped right on them multiple times. Like other reviewers, I would like to have more than the three suggestions available in my feed.

App is frustrating to set up

The idea is great.
BUT! the app is super frustrating because the profile set up process resets itself if you don’t finish it.

If you hop over midway to do something else on your phone, you have to start all over because there’s no way to save your profile set up to finish later. It’ll kick you ALL the way back to the start.

Ain’t got time for that.
