Great game but..
Such a childhood throwback with this one and being able to have the privilege to touch this game on a pc back in the late 2000’s, so having a chance to play it on mobile it itch that nostalgia. The only let down with this version is the Amount of black screens and freeze’s when transitions from a battle back to the map etc.

Good but can be better.
Its buggy, its high rng based, peak swords and sandals experience, only 3 stars because the got rid of originall soundtrack. When i will hear ,,swords&sandals crusadeeeeer,, i will change to 5 ;). Highly recommended for fans of the series!
a custom campaign mode would be beautiful

i’ve been doing the conquer the realm mode over and over again, and maybe a custom campaign would be cool, yeah? you’d have sandbox-like capabilities setting up the territories of each faction and their starting armies. once you’re done, just hit a button and you’re in your custom campaign.
it is ambitious, so i’d understand why it might seem impossible.

Best game on mobile
Swords and sandals crusaders is the best mobile game by far. It combines strategy, luck, Skill, arcade sequences. It is the most like Defender of the Crown Of any game And indeed, it is based off of it. Oh that I wish you would return to the game and develop it further with more storyline. I wish that when you conquered an enemy king you would inherit their lands. Also, I wish that you could buy castles for each territory for your garrison army. When you leave a Garrison army behind in a territory without a castle they get slaughtered. so much so that is not even worth leaving any Army in territories because they always get killed. The reason I love swords and sandals crusader. Is it very much like the game RISK but with everything that risk doesn’t have. I have played a ton of mobile games and this one is the best. It does crash fairly often. Especially on a long conquest battle with eight players. Even with the game crashes, it’s still my favorite game now. I would have given it five stars, but it does crash a bit during gameplay otherwise I would’ve given it five stars.

okay love the game but in the sense of it freezing there are a few times where it will freeze, failing a retreat check from what i noticed will always freeze my game and i’m on the full version on campaign, other than that really good game
Broken
Bought the Ultratus version almost immediately cause I loved the game as a kid. The game itself is still excellent, but some bugs are game-breaking. Any time I finish a battle I have a small chance for the map to just disappear. And since you can’t save mid-game, that’s it. I haven’t even been able to get past the 6th mission of the 1st chapter yet because of this. :(

I have seen comments a year back that complain about the black screen glitch, unfortunately in 2023 the glitch continues unfortunately I was unaware a purchased the game. Buyer beware do no buy could’ve been a five.

Really enjoyed the game although when fighting against other people it always crashes and I can never complete a full game. Really frustrating.

Retreat glitch
Game is fairly fun to play, but every time I retreat from a battle the screen goes black and I can’t see the map. Found this out after I bought the full version of the game. Somewhat disappointed. If by possible fix the glitch and I will give a better rewire.

New game. First 2 minutes of “playing” (no tutorial) a fluffy abomination annhilates my 3 man army and I lose the campaign. The download was longer than i played.
Fixing and rebalancing
This game need improvement, 1, bring back step fast travel from original version, 2 game become unplayable dull the enenime because far stronger and just throwing magic on you for cruel sake
