Great but slow it down
Storyline is great and interactive but would be improved if it was read more slowly and allowed for pausing.
A Must Have for Preschoolers
A wonderfully engaging, entertaining and educational story! My girls wouldn't put the iPad down. The app is extremely easy for young children to use. This app is a must have for parents of young children.

Interactive & Fun for Young Minds
This app is so great for young children. It not only helps develop hand eye coordination but offers a cute and fun story for kids to follow along. I love this app and hope the Felt board Lady creates several more app-stories similar to Sydney!
Fun & educational
I love the use of simple story telling that is not only entertaining but educational as well. The narrator not only introduces the child to various animals and objects but names their colors as well. Although the story board is made of felt, the use of special effects (note the air coming out of Sydney's mouth when he sighs) and other animation is quite clever. My 15 month old grandson loves the interactive screen. Highly recommended for toddlers.

Great story
This is a fun and interactive storytelling app. Children should be engaged and enjoy listening to the telling of this scarecrow’s life in the field. Animations and interactions are appropriate for the intended age group. The narrator does a nice job with the various character voices.
Well done!
There's a lot of stories out there for iOS devices. Many of them not very well done. This is one that is REALLY well done. The story is very engaging and leaves the kids with a great lesson. The pictures are engaging and not too simple, not too complicated. Well done!
My 3 year old loves this
This is now the first app my 3 year old goes to when he has my iPad. It quickly became one of his favorites. I think it's adorable.
Cute and fun
Great early childhood app for children ages 1-3 or at your discretion. Great for building "caring" skills.
Sweet and Simple App
The realistic graphics and simple story really keep the little ones engaged! The lesson about how to make friends is a good one. There is plenty to talk about with this app, and a very good lesson is learned. Kids can do this on their own with no problem! I wish there were more stories!
Cute story
It is a cute story with a scarecrow "doing the job it's designed to do" out in a field. I would like to see some more stories for the scarecrow, but do like the repetition of the story to use with young kids.
For Very young children, perhaps
This is a cute story app with a lot of repetition, but I doubt it has much replay or re-read value. The story is not that engaging and the interactions are all and always the same. The pictures are very cute but the directions to tap the animals distract from the story, and as the result is always the same it loses interest really fast. In short story books w/lots of repetition like thus, the book can hold up when a parent is reading w/the child and can make the repetition a fun reinforcer for the child, who is pleased to be able to anticipate what will happen. But this app's direction- giving breaks that up too much, leaving a lack of continuity while just annoying with the repetitive motions.

What a cute story geared for young children. Nice and repetitive for the younger learner. Cute animations and voices. A few more interactive elements would make it exceptional.
Nice App
Very cute app with a delightful story. Little ones can watch it over and over and it is nicely read. I would suggest that the parent (teacher) have a felt board handy so the child can manipulate the scarecrow and act out the story rather than just watch it. The fact that it is only one page to watch and tap might not hold children's interest as they are so used to more interactive apps. However, the story is a great lesson on friendship.

A wonderful & colorful story about friendship
This is a cute app about friendship. With simple follow along sentences & the adorable graphics makes it a great book to read with your child. I would love to see more of these types of books for my son.
Kids love it
I bought this app based on the recommendation from a buddy of mine, saying his kids love it. I would never have guessed how much my nieces and nephews love it, I can't even use my iPad when they come over they just keep playing it! Keeping them happy for a long time and it's only $2!
Colorful and amazing!
The graphics are amazing on this app! It’s not very often that you see felt being brought to life. I love the interaction with all the objects on the screen and the fact that certain things are outlined as the story is being told. It’s both fun and educational! I loved using felt as a kid and can totally see a felt art project after introducing this story to young ones!
