About

Syllabo is a study app for the IB Diploma, built for the 5 to 30 minutes you actually have. Sessions that choose the content Pick a time and Syllabo picks the content: your weakest syllabus points, the mistakes you haven't fixed and the topics your next test covers. Warm-up, lesson card, recall, application and an exam-format question, then done. Your IB subjects, HL and SL 29 IB Diploma subjects across Groups 1 to 5, from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and both Maths courses to Economics, Business, Global Politics, Geography, History, Psychology, Computer Science, ESS and language courses. More than 53,000 original questions, each tagged to an official syllabus point and given a difficulty level from Warm-up to Expert, with key terms, lesson cards and common misconceptions. Calculation questions come in many versions with different numbers. Marking against the mark scheme Write your answer in your own words. Syllabo marks it against the mark scheme by meaning, not word-for-word, shows which marking points you earned and highlights the ones you missed. If you disagree, you can override the mark. Diagrams you draw Sketch the diagram the question asks for, from supply and demand shifts and externalities to energy profiles, molecular shapes, field lines, hydrographs and curve sketches. Compare it with a model diagram, tick off the marking points, or have AI mark your drawing when you're signed in. Works with a finger, Apple Pencil, or a trackpad on Mac. Your notes, turned into practice Scan or photograph your class notes, paste them, or send a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file to Syllabo. It turns them into flashcards tagged to the syllabus, and with AI switched on, exam-style questions too. Past papers and an exam countdown Questions in IB paper format with command terms and mark allocations. Add your tests and exams, and sessions lean towards what is coming up. Group syllabus points into the units your school actually teaches. An AI tutor that knows your syllabus Ask it to explain, quiz you, mark an answer or set an IB-style question. It knows your subject, syllabus point, mastery and recent mistakes. It works offline from the built-in curriculum, and with an online account it becomes a full AI tutor powered by Claude. Teach it back Explain a topic to your study buddy by typing or speaking, and see which parts you left out. Streaks, skins, leagues and duels Keep a daily streak with your study buddy. Studying earns coins, which open crates of skins for your buddy. Join a weekly league, challenge friends to duels on the same ten questions, and choose exactly what friends can see. Your account on every device Create an account to back up your progress and sign in on iPhone, iPad or Mac, or continue as a guest and create one later without losing anything. Daily reminders are optional. Themes and text size Navy, dark and light themes, and adjustable text size. No ads, no tracking No ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your study data is used only to run the app. Syllabo is not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Baccalaureate Organization.

What's New in Syllabo

Over 53,000 questions, a new start with Pip, flashcards you can swipe, and your own notes turned into lessons and tests. Many more questions • The question bank has grown from about 13,000 to over 53,000 original IB-format questions. Every syllabus point in the maths courses, the sciences, Economics, Global Politics, Business, Psychology and SEHS now has dozens, covering each learning objective. • Calculation questions come in many versions with different numbers, so practising a skill again means new numbers to work with. • Every question has a difficulty level from Warm-up to Expert, so the difficulty slider gives you exactly the range you ask for. A new start • New students meet Pip, see what Syllabo does, choose their subjects and how long they can study each day, and get a plan before their first session. • The first session uses quick questions from maths, a science or Economics that are marked straight away. • Creating an account takes an email, a password and the username you want. Syllabo tells you as you type whether it's free. • Setup now asks which topics your class has covered in each subject, and your first session only asks about those. Change them any time in Edit session. • Biology, Economics, ESS, SEHS, Geography and Global Politics now focus on understanding and concepts. Calculations still come up, in about one question in five. A tidier Home • Your initials and level sit at the top left, in a ring that fills as you earn XP. Tap it for your account and your progress. • Friends and Settings are the two round buttons at the top right. A cleaner shop • The Buddy shop has a new layout: today's skin on its own card, every crate in one list with what it holds and its price, and daily rewards and streak freezes together under Power-ups. • Crates no longer give the Classic skin, since everyone starts with it. Numbered Classic copies are retired and paid out in coins. Streaks that mean studying • Your streak grows when you finish a session, drill, flashcard deck or teaching round. Opening the app or leaving a session early doesn't count, and the results screen tells you when a day hasn't counted yet. Flashcards • Cards turn over with a real flip. Swipe right if you know it and left if you're still learning, or tap the buttons below. Cards you're still learning come back a few cards later. Your notes, your course • Imported notes are saved in Learn › Your notes. From any of them, start a lesson or a quick test on the topics they cover, add them to one of your units, write more questions, or make flashcards later. • Importing many pages is much faster, with a progress bar and the time left. • Questions made from your notes are marked on the idea, so a correct answer in your own words earns the marks. Ones that ask for a diagram give you the drawing pad. • Send a PDF, Word or PowerPoint file to Syllabo from the share sheet, or pick one from Files, and it's read like your other notes. Faster • Syllabo opens faster: it loads only your subjects' questions, in the background. • Smoother exam question lists, search, Learn, Progress and Practice. Practice and marking • Redo the questions you missed straight from the results screen. • Mock exams hold your answers until the end, like a real paper. • Number answers show your answer next to the correct value. • The maths answer box has a clear button with undo, and Undo on the drawing pad brings back erased strokes. • Formulas and the formula booklet grow with Larger Text. Friends • Rematch a friend from the duel result, and nudge your study buddy while you wait for them. • A week away no longer drops your league tier. Fixes • Days and streaks are counted correctly in every time zone, and reminders arrive on time when the clocks change. • The coin counter on the Buddy tab shows large amounts in full. • Better VoiceOver labels and larger tap targets. • Many fixes to marking, mark schemes and content across every subject.
