ManageBac is horrendous
No one should ever have to use this godforsaken app! I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It is bad.
The worst school app ever
My school switched from seasaw to ManageBac and absolutely everybody hates it. Marketing wise I’m sure it’s a great excuse of a solution, but in terms of user friendliness? It’s built clearly by tech people who have absolutely no concept of user interface, and have no concept of the fact that this is for school parents and students. It is really designed as nothing more than a glorified folder system. You go in and pick you folders. Keep drilling down into more and more folders. Nothing in the development has any users in mind. You have to open every file even if it is only one sentence long. There is no way to see things conveniently with a scroll and expansion. Everything is designed to work as individual files. Imagine a folder with only one sentence in each document. That’s ManageBac. Imagine needing to keep screenshotting and cross checking names because none of the teacher user names are even clickable to send messages in. This reduces and increases friction and downright abhorrence between teachers and parents and students. Because communication on ManageBac is designed to suck. If you want parents leaving your school, buy this product.
