No longer works
I have used this App for many years without any issues, until it stopped working with an App Store validation error on my M-series Mac. Support has been patchy and ineffective. None of the usual delete/restore/reboot has been effective. I have moved to native NAS tools from Synology which work brilliantly.

Useful App
Really useful app for backing up my SSD onto my HDD as well. I use Time Machine to back up my laptop, but then all my content on my SSD gets mirrored onto an HDD with this app, so it's been very helpful.
Always Buggy
I gave up when it could not backup folders with a huge number of files.

I have been using Sync Folders Pro for >10 years, perhaps longer, running on different machines and operating systems (Mac). I am a photographer and have many large files produced each week so need to have a robust way of backup to multiple disks. Some of the files are huge. I also backup my documents. The system is automated and very fast.

Makes keeping back up folders on multiple drives very easy and most importantly, performs reliably, giving me confidence that I will no lose any work if a drive fails — as has happened more than once!
Peace of mind
I have used the app for many years. Despite having most of my data in iCloud, I like yo know it is also synchronised with my local NAS. Easy to use , set up and reliable.

Several times while syncing with other software I have had files overwritten or deleted when this was not my intention. I just love the A to B options with SYNC FOLDERS PRO, clearly showing what is going to happen in the small table that pops up. This permits a sync that is tailored to any need and prevents costly mistakes while syncing. Love it !

Game Changer
The golden rule for working digitally is to create a backup of the files you are working on. But when do you actually do this? If you are like me and just forget, then this is the app for you. It is utterly brilliant and has saved me on more times than I care to remember. I have a folder on my desktop with all of my files in. This is backed up by Sync Folders Pro to an external drive I carry with me, which automatically backs up all the work I do in that folder. As soon as I am plugged into my home network, it auto-copies to a larger home NAS drive (or another external drive), so I now have 3 folders where the work sits. I will only ever go to the external drive if I get a corruption or delete a file by mistake. It is genius and for the money, a complete no-brainer.

My longtime sync program is long in the tooth. Slow and confusing. This program seems to be much faster. The only confusing part was trying the free version where you could see the options like backup only one way, but couldn't select them. Didn't realize it was only a pro feature till I bought it.

Best for Archiving Important items!
I run a small online business and I’m constantly creating new items which involves many steps during the creation and modification. If something were to happen to my main business drive I would lose all the files that I’ve created over the years and this would destroy my small business. I also use it for my personal finance files and movies/photos that are irreplaceable.
Sync Folders Pro is a very easy to configure program and gives me a level of peace of mind that makes it worth more than the price!

Very Useful for Oganizing and Backiing Up
Sync Folders Pro is a great program for backing up folders on your Mac. It has great features like the ability to sync in many different ways between the two different folders, either on your system or on an external device like a USB drive or to cloud storage. It also has file and folder filters so you can actually select what type of files and what folders get backed up and what are excluded from the backup. There is also a preview mode showing what will be synced before you do the sync.

Reliable and straightforward for cold backups
I have been using Sync Folders Pro since March 2021, and it has been incredibly useful. I mainly use it to sync folders from my Mac to a USB-attached hard drive for cold backups.
Before finding this, I tried several other apps that didn't quite meet my needs. I expected this one might be the same, but I was pleasantly surprised. From the very start, it was easy to use and not confusing at all. It just works. Highly recommended.
