I have used the app for many years. Despite having most of my data in iCloud, I like yo know it is also synchronised with my local NAS. Easy to use , set up and reliable.
Game Changer
The golden rule for working digitally is to create a backup of the files you are working on. But when do you actually do this? If you are like me and just forget, then this is the app for you. It is utterly brilliant and has saved me on more times than I care to remember. I have a folder on my desktop with all of my files in. This is backed up by Sync Folders Pro to an external drive I carry with me, which automatically backs up all the work I do in that folder. As soon as I am plugged into my home network, it auto-copies to a larger home NAS drive (or another external drive), so I now have 3 folders where the work sits. I will only ever go to the external drive if I get a corruption or delete a file by mistake. It is genius and for the money, a complete no-brainer.

Great program.
Having had crashed drives over the years I like to keep things in several places, Sync Folder Pro helps me do it without having to manually move the data to several places.

Have been using this for years to sync photo libraries to a NAS drive. Works great

My longtime sync program is long in the tooth. Slow and confusing. This program seems to be much faster. The only confusing part was trying the free version where you could see the options like backup only one way, but couldn't select them. Didn't realize it was only a pro feature till I bought it.

Best for Archiving Important items!
I run a small online business and I’m constantly creating new items which involves many steps during the creation and modification. If something were to happen to my main business drive I would lose all the files that I’ve created over the years and this would destroy my small business. I also use it for my personal finance files and movies/photos that are irreplaceable.
Sync Folders Pro is a very easy to configure program and gives me a level of peace of mind that makes it worth more than the price!

Very Useful for Oganizing and Backiing Up
Sync Folders Pro is a great program for backing up folders on your Mac. It has great features like the ability to sync in many different ways between the two different folders, either on your system or on an external device like a USB drive or to cloud storage. It also has file and folder filters so you can actually select what type of files and what folders get backed up and what are excluded from the backup. There is also a preview mode showing what will be synced before you do the sync.

Reliable and straightforward for cold backups
I have been using Sync Folders Pro since March 2021, and it has been incredibly useful. I mainly use it to sync folders from my Mac to a USB-attached hard drive for cold backups.
Before finding this, I tried several other apps that didn't quite meet my needs. I expected this one might be the same, but I was pleasantly surprised. From the very start, it was easy to use and not confusing at all. It just works. Highly recommended.

I’ve been using this for many years and it’s by far the best most comprehensive with the most variables that you can think of And the nice thing is you can do it again for verification as well as that has checks sum verify

Probably the best synchronizer I’ve ever used
I’ve been doing Mac’s since the original Apple IIe, Lisa, & McIntosh and always had problems trying to organize/save off to an external whatever things I never wanna lose. I do like that there is a check on verification with this to prove your files actually went to where you intended instead of later, looking for a folder and its EMpTY!

A Vital App
Each backup routine is easy to set up and can be a real lifesaver, especially to protect against hard drive failures. While I trust Time Machine as my primary backup tool, I’ve found it can be corrupted (I learned the hard way). Manually creating and maintaining a backup to the Time Machine backup is a near no-brainer with this app.

Would love the ability to access cloud service folders on my device like pCloud and Dropbox
This is a great app for synchronizing folders with an external SSD and your iPhone. I would love the option to sync my SSD with my cloud services but the Dropbox and pCloud folders are not selectable.
This would be a true game changer and I would change my rating to 5 stars if that is updated as I see there hasn't been an update in 4+ years.

One of the good ones.
My first Mac was an LCII back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. I've seen apps come and go. This one's a keeper. I’m happy to report that Sync Folders Pro works well. Nothing beats an external hard drive for backup (speed and portability) and let’s face it, who needs more stress and worry in their life? Just do it.

Great for spotting missing files
I’m using this to move my OneDrive files to a Mac. I ended up with many potential duplicate folders. I weed out the obvious dups, then use the preview mode to spot missing or corrupted files.
I had already been using the iOS version to move files from local storage to iCloud so already had a good experience.

Total worth it
This is such a time saver for backing up files. Instead of recopying everything, it just grabs what’s new or changed so I am not stuck waiting for hours when I plug an external drive.
Sync Folders Pro works for me
Sync Folders Pro works for me in keeping all of my USB Thumb drives sync’d to my main computer. It is fast and efficient. That is why I am giving it 5 stars.
Works well once you figure out how to set it up
While the user interface can be a bit challenging to set up, once done, it works great for syncing folders in the manner of your choosing as there are several options. What I use it for is syncing my photos on my Mac. Given the issues with MacOS and its occasional eccentric and flaky operation, I choose to keep my photo library on an external drive to insure I will not lose it due to MacOS issues that historically has wiped my data without warning. However having the photo library on external storage creates issues with using them for desktop wallpaper. So I keep the main photo library on an external drive and use Sync Folders Pro to sync it to my boot drive. So if something happens to my boot drive as it has historically, my photo library is intact on the external drive.
