Thanks for the feedback, we're glad you liked the idea. We’re growing quickly but are more active in certain locations, so some areas may take a bit longer to pick up. Virtual matches are meant to keep the experience engaging when there aren’t compatible users nearby (as noted during onboarding), not to be misleading. That said, we hear you, we’ll add an option to turn them off soon.

Even worse, even after 100s of messages and hours with the chat bot, I never saw a single person’s profile on the app. They match you with other ai bots to gauge your style of interaction and gather more data.
Not one single other human. Crazy.

Totally get where you’re coming from. synch only shows real matches when there are compatible people within your chosen distance, and we try to be upfront about that during onboarding. If there aren’t enough nearby yet, we show a few virtual matches. We added this after getting some initial positive feedback and increasing engagement, since it helps people quickly understand how synch works and how preferences are learned. Our goal is to save time, not waste it, and we apologize that we could not provide that to you this time. As soon as someone compatible appears in your area, we’ll notify you right away. We are also releasing improvements in the coming weeks to Lily’s memory and conversation management, especially for longer chats that are more complicated, which should address concerns like getting repeating behavior. We are actively growing the community across regions, and early users like you help shape what comes next. Appreciate you being here early 💛
