Was my go to synth
Completely useless now. I have been using this for many years as the sounds are top notch but now it’s useless. Standalone app won’t load my purchases and wont even respond in my DAW software, all of them. I’ve messaged about the problem and had” we will look into this”. After weeks nothing. I even spend a grand on the latest iPad Pro M5 thinking it would sort the problem but no. I have hundreds of songs that rely on this app and now they are unusable without months of rework. Two years ago I would have given 5 stars but now not even worth one as it doesn’t work. Sorry for the negativity but I’m one very upset customer.

Program Change doesn’t work
I have been trying to change the sounds via program change, but I haven’t been able to. I could only change them using the “midi learn” feature, but I need to go directly to the program instead of going through other programs.

Les presets achetés ne peuvent plus être récupérer dans l’intégralité apres réinstallation sur un nouvel iPad version iOS 16 il en manque plus de la moitié donc vous pouvez oublier toutes vos compositions faites avec ces sons.

Most Patches No Sound
Dev reported 11 months ago bug fixes to patches not playing sound.
Problem not only still happening but gets worse every time I remove and reload software. Need to fix this.

Great sound but some presets stop working
Love the sound on the presets that work, but some presets stop working. After the initial use of them, upon closing the app and reopening it, about 50% or more of the presets don’t produce any sound.

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 14 pro max and some of the SM Player presets don’t work even after restoring, restarting.

Hello, I like the sound of this player, but one thing that makes this product useless for me - the program change protocol doesn’t work through the midi…I can’t change the program from my midi keyboard, so I can’t use it on my live performance and rehearsal ..

Poor Sounds
The iPad App is free for the base version which doesn’t let you save settings - how dated is that trick - and has a reported 200 presets. You can pay for the so-called pro version which allows you to save settings and have a lot more presets but having tried the first 200 I wouldn’t bother.
As this app is all about the presets you’d hope they were good if not great but they’re not, they’re below average and I’m being kind. There are plenty of apps that have far superior Sounds to this and many are free or have a free base version.
Why call something a french horn or a piano or a flute when they sound nothing like one? Call them something else because that is what they are - just synthetic sounds. Having said that even the synth sounds are uninspired.
Glad I only did this free option as this tells me enough to not pay for the developer’s other apps for iPad.

Using this app last 2 years . I have not completed any music project but I play keyboard sometimes .
Great sounds! Really like the simplicity, but..
The presets are good and the app is very simple to use. Too simple at times.. you don’t have option to change many parameters, only the macros (even that’s not mapped on some presets), cannot change FX parameters just turn them on and off.
Even though I got the pro upgrade, I’m unable to save user presets.
