Could Be Amazing
The concept is there, but the UI need some work. It said that in the instructions there’s a scroll bar on iPhone, but it doesn’t exist. You can’t really use it on an iPhone. I would gather it. It’s tight on an iPad mini too. On an iPad it’s a bit better and on a Mac it certainly the best. I’m not quite sure why both the keyboard and the synth images don’t default to larger in the first place.

Insane space fusion of 2 synths
Holding up the retro synth inspiration . The 2600 is certainly retro sounding, but really nice. The only crucial thing is to tame that reverb a bit and it’s ace. Perhaps that’s the way the old one sounded but as of right now (April 2o26) it’s just real dense and is maybe overpowering? It’s big and great for drones of course so that is cool. But to me the synth sound shines though with way lighter reverb or much less. Ok so the Midi in AuM is great so far. Pretty big deal. I have not tried midi learn yet.
Updates are well done and it’s pretty much a dream. So fat it just keeps improving, and is a gift from an alien drop pod which is so cheap I thought it was April fools. Nope, it’s real and no IAP even! The other completely amazing thing is the prescription strength circuit bending. You basically get access to the virtual chip and the bends are appear legit (1st I’ve ever seen.)! It of course depends, as typically a bender used sliders/knobs. That would be quite inspiring, but it’s beyond complex as is. Yet understandable in a strange electric vortex of options seeming infinite even with robotic assistance. In general both synths have a nice quality of sound and are quite wild , almost in headphones you may blow up the universe or brain so maybe ‘ponder’ a limiter or compressor.
I like when the inspired retro gear/apps pushes the way into new tones. I think a lot realize it won’t be a clone sonically but the graphics can make it seem that way.
This sounds unique as well, with functionality quite close(without inspection A\B)! Seems like this came from the drop from portal zel along

Much appreciated and the work must have been done out of passion because I’ve honestly you could have charged way more, and made 2 separate ones. Cheers, the only idea I got is an iap of almost anything with custom graphic or knob/sliders.

Great App! but…
This is my first ever review, so this should say something. Fairly new to the ios music making world, but been diving deep. Out of all the synths and music utility apps and daws and auv3, this one has the smallest font. I saw this talked about for a few days in different forum destinations and I heeded the warning but oh, god how right they all were.
The synths sound great, I actually would like to play with them and use them and incorporate into my workflow as I can, but truly impossible with not being able to read anything I’m doing.
I’ve screen all three keyboards, the two in the mod and the toy sampler so I do have an idea now about what all the buttons are but that doesn’t help when in the moment of crafting a sound and trying to find with patch is going to connect to which output.
I truly want to like this app, and I do, like this app but I don’t think any of us can actually use this app until this feature gets figured out. Maybe with an actual zoom feature in app that let’s you scroll very far into the keys and does so smoothly. Or the devs can figure out a way to enlarge the font without sacrificing the intent they were going for in the vision of the app.
This is all coming from someone who has great eyesight, and accessibility zoom feature on, screens shots taken while zoomed in. It shouldn’t be this hard to read the work flow, even at the fiver price point. Small knobs I can do, most apps are featured with that, but small font to the point of unreadable is kind of impossible though, impressive coming from someone with equally small handwriting ;)

A good synth…
…that the devs have made a terrible UI for…
Don’t buy it unless they fix it, so much wasted space, a tiny unplayable keyboard, maddeningly fiddly for no reason..
Hopefully they fix, it could be good, but at the moment it isn’t really useable..

Arp 2600!
This came from out of hyperspace and dropped a synthetic alien (arp 2600) into portable use. Pretty big deal. Ok, so from the start Its hard to tell how authentic the sound quality is compared to the many hardware versions .I don’t think it has to sound exactly alike, but I hope the patch-points and functions are close enough. So, besides some small quirks/issues, they update and fix it often. I think can only Get better and better as they appear to listen to feedback as well!This is working well at this point, and midi was rolling through AUM great. This is a dream in my world, and I haven’t event touched the other keyboard. Cheers!

Update
The update introduced a zoom for the interface, it is now usable enough for me .
Freeze issue fixed
iPhone 8. When selecting the preset tab, app freezes. It’s now impossible to select the other instrument. I’d consider this app broken as is. Hopefully I can update my review to reflect a more positive experience.
Side note: The 2600 sounds good. I can’t access the SK1. Also, a pinch zoom is preferable to the slider/joystick combo, but I can tolerate it just because I’m so excited to see a 2600 on iOS.
Update: The developer addressed the issue in a matter of days. This app is definitely worth investing some time in now. It feels like a fun little sound design lab. I’m starting to get used to the zoom/joystick navigation. The whole experience is very methodical. I like it.

Can’t change patches
It hangs when trying to change patches.
UI does matter
Utterly baffled by the choice of UI. Crazy decision to spend time and effort on an app , which does sound good to me and then decide to make the UI a torture device - I have to use iOS zoom feature to see what I’m doing because the controls are ludicrously tiny! This causes real frustration and is not responsive.It’s a real shame because it is good and hopefully will get better - this however is the problem, from where I’m standing this app would have to be utterly incredible to put up with the shockingly painful to use UI. Is it? Perhaps time will tell. To put this into perspective I would give it 5 stars if it were not so incredibly frustrating to actually use.

Finally A Circuit Bent SK 1
Ive personally circuit bent many of the SK series keyboards, and have been hoping for a plugin version for years now. This app executes it very well. Developers, a request I have is for a patchbay with some trim pots to route through as well as an LFO section with a robust mod matrix for targeting the bends and synth / drum voices. Really well done all around tho. Thank you!

Brings much needed sounds to iOS
I am quite pleased with this app. As of 04/2026, this app comes with 2 emulations, with more promised: a famous semi-modular synthesizer, and a circuit bendable 80s toy keyboard. I bought this app because of the toy keyboard: a couple of romplers exist with those sounds, but those cannot be patched to actually change the sound or to process your own samples. In this regard I have found this app to be excellent: the sound is close enough to the original to satisfy me. The app can be loaded standalone, reading from the onboard iPhone mic, as an auv3 instrument and also as an effect in a pass-through mode - this allows you to give any sound a “Lofi crunch” without even having to record it as a sample in the keyboard. I also appreciate the circuit bending playground, which lets you do things like bypass the aliasing filter, a common thing people do on the original and which provides a different timbre to the instrument. Also try turning on and off the speaker vs line out- this also changes timbre.
Some people on the loopy pro forums were complaining about the UI claiming it to be too small: I found it to be pretty intuitive to use the zoom scrollbar on the side and joystick to move around in zoomed-in mode. I am satisfied with this, especially on the iPhone where apps are regularly tiny and unusable anyways (thank you for supporting both iPhone and iPad!!) but I can imagine it could be more frustrating trying to draw patch cable connections on the 2600 emulation and having to navigate zooming in and out while also doing that.
I do think the app could benefit from a dedicated “change instruments” button, I agree with others on the forums saying that navigating using the back button in the preset browser until you select a preset for the other instrument is unintuitive.
Overall, I think this is a very comprehensive emulation. I used to own the original toy keyboard and I can tell the developer took great pains to emulate even the small details of the original. The support for auv3 and using it as a sound processor makes it immediately useful inside auv3 hosts as a music making tool. I am very happy to have access to this on my phone and tablet, and excited for the potential of more future updates and additional instruments down the road.
