Vision Support
I volunteer with elderly book clubs, and many members have failing eyesight. I decided to use this app and it has been a real success, as it lets us import classic novels as EPUBs and listen together.
Learning Time
As a truck driver logging 60-hour weeks, Synthy turned my downtime into learning time. I scan pages from my CDL manual using the camera, and the app reads them aloud with a calm, clear voice, even over the engine noise.
Dictate Drafts
I dictate rough drafts into Synthy's text box, then listen back to hear the flow. Hearing my own words read aloud catches awkward phrasing I miss when reading silently. It's like a first round editor.
Great stuff
I load my work emails into this app before leaving the house. The app continues reading while my phone is locked and in my pocket. I walk to the train, board, and arrive at the office having already cleared my inbox.
Text Extraction
This is a wonderful app. I found a long-form essay on a site with terrible mobile formatting. I pasted the URL into Synthy, and the app extracted the text, cleaned it up, and read it aloud in a natural voice.
Chapter Recognition
This is great for creating your own audiobooks. I downloaded an old public domain novel and imported it into the app. It recognized the chapter breaks, read with proper pauses, and didn't stumble on archaic language.
Calm Narrator
This app's voices have natural intonation, rhythm, and even subtle emotion. The female British voice sounds like a calm audiobook narrator. I forgot I was listening to an AI by the third chapter.
Adjustable Speed
I had to learn a new recipe technique and study for a test at the same time. The app read my study notes aloud while I chopped vegetables, and the adjustable speed let me slow down for dense concepts and speed up for review.
Instant OCR
I had a printed contract that needed to be read aloud during a meeting. I pointed this app's camera at each page, and it OCR'd the text instantly. No manual entry, no scanning to PDF first. This is really great!
Good job
I had 20 academic papers to review before a deadline. Synthy's speed control let me listen at double speed without losing comprehension. And most importantly, the voice stayed natural, not chipmunk-like.
Frustrated
So frustrating, I’ve paid for a year subscription and I haven’t been able to access the app for nearly two weeks now. The website is useless. There is no where to get help to fix the problem and now I can’t even log into the app. Waste of money.
Paid Subscriber Locked Out”
Paid subscriber. I can no longer access my saved information or account despite reinstalling the app and attempting multiple sign-ins. The support page currently appears broken and displays WordPress/debug errors instead of working support tools. I have emailed support and still need assistance restoring access to my data.

Поддерживается ли еще приложение разработчиком?
Уважаемый разработчик, вы нацелены на то, чтобы развивать приложение или вам уже не интересно? Выпускаете обновление раз в полгода, но они тоже ничего не исправили. Деньги за подписку вы берёте, а приложение не совершенствуете. Как были ошибки, так и остались. С экрана блокировки по прежнему нельзя продолжить прослушивание, когда нажимаешь воспроизвести после паузы. Также озвучивает номера страниц. Неужели вы сами не видите такие существенные недоработки?
