My dyslexic teen used to dread textbook chapters until we found this app. She snaps photos of history pages, and the app reads them aloud to her. I'm certain this is why she aced her last exam after struggling so much.
Running a bakery before dawn leaves zero time for news. Now, I paste article links into this app during dough prep, and it reads global headlines while I knead. It's a small thing, but I love it!
As a non-native English speaker, I struggle with dense legal contracts for my startup. Synthyโs voice reader pronounces complex terms clearly, and slowing the speed helps me absorb clauses.
I dump academic PDFs into this app and listen while walking. The best thing is that the voice doesnโt stumble on stats like โp<0.01,โ and background play means no workflow breaks.
I was bedridden after a surgery, but needed to prepare client presentations. This app read my slide notes aloud while I dictated edits, and typing quick bullet points and hearing them voiced instantly helped refine the idea.
I'm so pleased with this app! My ADHD brain usually struggles with page after page of text. This app's highlight-as-it-reads feature anchors my focus, and speeding through familiar sections saves me hours!
Traveling solo through rural Japan, I snapped menus with kanji I couldnโt read. This app scanned the images and read ingredients aloud, and even offline, the TTS worked smoothly!
I volunteer with elderly book clubs, and many members have failing eyesight. I decided to use this app and it has been a real success, as it lets us import classic novels as EPUBs and listen together.
As a truck driver logging 60-hour weeks, Synthy turned my downtime into learning time. I scan pages from my CDL manual using the camera, and the app reads them aloud with a calm, clear voice, even over the engine noise.
I dictate rough drafts into Synthy's text box, then listen back to hear the flow. Hearing my own words read aloud catches awkward phrasing I miss when reading silently. It's like a first round editor.
I load my work emails into this app before leaving the house. The app continues reading while my phone is locked and in my pocket. I walk to the train, board, and arrive at the office having already cleared my inbox.
This is a wonderful app. I found a long-form essay on a site with terrible mobile formatting. I pasted the URL into Synthy, and the app extracted the text, cleaned it up, and read it aloud in a natural voice.
This is great for creating your own audiobooks. I downloaded an old public domain novel and imported it into the app. It recognized the chapter breaks, read with proper pauses, and didn't stumble on archaic language.
This app's voices have natural intonation, rhythm, and even subtle emotion. The female British voice sounds like a calm audiobook narrator. I forgot I was listening to an AI by the third chapter.
I had to learn a new recipe technique and study for a test at the same time. The app read my study notes aloud while I chopped vegetables, and the adjustable speed let me slow down for dense concepts and speed up for review.
I had a printed contract that needed to be read aloud during a meeting. I pointed this app's camera at each page, and it OCR'd the text instantly. No manual entry, no scanning to PDF first. This is really great!
I had 20 academic papers to review before a deadline. Synthy's speed control let me listen at double speed without losing comprehension. And most importantly, the voice stayed natural, not chipmunk-like.
So frustrating, Iโve paid for a year subscription and I havenโt been able to access the app for nearly two weeks now. The website is useless. There is no where to get help to fix the problem and now I canโt even log into the app. Waste of money.
Paid subscriber. I can no longer access my saved information or account despite reinstalling the app and attempting multiple sign-ins. The support page currently appears broken and displays WordPress/debug errors instead of working support tools. I have emailed support and still need assistance restoring access to my data.
