Ton of bugs.
Looks android, like they copied code using PaintCode. Settings don’t save, messages don’t work. Avoid this broken implementation. Stick to well maintained projects avoid devs who do bare minimum work.
Can’t wait!
Can’t wait to see where this goes. Like the app states it is really not ready for general use, but it is very promising! Will be nice to get away from the “flagship” disaster that is Element.
good potential
I don’t understand the appeal of the customization of absolutely everything. I never met someone that cares enough to customize all the finnicky colors and stuff. But maybe that is an android thing haha.
Speaking of colors, there is a weird thing where in a group chat, you will have two users with the same color of message bubble side-by-side. if that is gonna happen, just make all bubbles the same color.
But this app has good fundamentals. Good privacy. Good features like multi-account make it really stand out.

Promising, but extremely buggy
Syphon is a beautiful and simple Matrix client, but as the developer has stated, not ready for everyday use. When it’s ready, it will easily be the nicest, most user-friendly client I have used so far. If you’re looking for an everyday client, Element is the way to go. If you want to fiddle with a fun and futuristic one, try Syphon.
