Maybe it worked great five years ago
This app failed to send a .sys file that did send correctly with a different app. I don’t know Apple‘s policy here, but I think developers should be required to verify that their app is fully functional every couple of years at a minimum.

Needed a Sysex Manager for iOS to manually update the firmware on my Woovebox via BT, and it worked immediately without any problems

Works well with Jupiter X-Xm
I needed a solution to pair with MDP2 to capture Jupiter X-Xm patch data (scene & tone). This works perfectly. Open in slide over mode in front of MDP2, enable recording, then request the dump via MDP2. Ensure you name the recording appropriately for the scene or tone captured. I would be happier if SysexBase were fully compliant with the latest Apple file system, but it does work with iCloud.

Mon interface midi UM-ONE branchée derrière un hub usb a été reconnue du premier coup. J’ai pu recharger mon vieux U220 au valeurs usine en jouant sur les « délais » de transmission.
Mon fichier se trouvait sur l’iCloud. J’ai simplement fais un « envoyer vers » l’application
Bref je suis satisfais de cet achat
Suggestion : il manque la possibilité de copier la totalité ou certaines parties du fichier sysex afin de la coller dans d’autres applications

Took a punt on this with not much hope of it working with my Korg wavestation ad....Im delighted to confirm it actually works for transmitting Sysex files and it has plenty of speed adjustment for older equipment....very happy
Ne fonctionne pas avec le Roland D-05
J’ai essayé de transférer des banques de sons vers mon Roland Boutique D-05 en le connectant à l’iPad (iPad pro 2017 iOS 13.3) via un hub USB alimenté mais ça ne marche pas... le D-05 n’apparaît pas dans l’application.
Basic fail
All I want to do with this is a basic sysex settings backup. It does not appear to work. And there is apparently no manual or anything to troubleshoot. And no mechanism to request a refund. Save your $10.

Seems like it's getting really good, I like the folder structuring and I can get all my sysex msgs backed up finally
Works only w/ banks, not specific sysex programs
I actually bought Patch Base from the same developer first, and started using it with my Volca FM. The app worked, but is only for iPad and has some glitches/crashing when moving files around. So, I thought I would try out Sysex Base on my iPhone, to give me even more options for moving sysex files to my Volca FM.
Unfortunately, while it works basically as advertised, it only supports entire sysex dumps, which wipe out all 32 programs on your device and overwrite them. I guess I should have expected this to happen, but with Patch Base, I had the ability just to try out an individual sound within a sysex bank, and then save it on my Volca FM. So, I'm unlikely to use it much, but that primarily my fault for not paying enough attention to what it does and doesn't do. Generally, however, the app seems to work in terms of storing and transmitting sysex data.

Just crashes
The app will not successfully load no matter what I've tried. Like the other review stated, it is basically unusable.

Please try the latest version, as the known bugs have been fixed, and the app handles large files very well now.
Crashes with large files
Recorded a 4.2 MB Sysex file and now the app always crashes on launch. This might an extreme use case but it's effectively unusable for me.

Does what it needs to
Solid way to send system files to your hardware synths. Doesn't seem to crash ever. Very basic, but it does what you need it to do. It'd be great if it could edit system, but you can't have it all.

What a great buy, worth every penny! I use iPad in a performing rig with hardware keyboards and sound modules. As of this writing I use iPad 2 and iOS 7.0.4. Sysex Base not only backs up and restores my hardware user program banks, but the Open In function lets me import new banks from my libraries in Dropbox, GoogleDrive and other locations. I can easily save and sort all my content in Sysex Base file structure which is easy to setup and use. This is a great addition to my iPad synths, DAW and controller apps. Developer is quick to respond to questions. MUST HAVE app for anyone using a mix of iPad and hardware devices!

Fell at the first hurdle
I bought this to load sysex patch dumps that I'd downloaded from the internet into my Kawai K1ii. The claimed 'open in' from Mail, Dropbox, etc., simply doesn't work. The app doesn't appear in the 'open in' list. I ended up buying Midi Tool Box instead. That worked like a charm. Save your money and buy something that works as advertised...
