About

Lay your iPhone Duo flat on the table and sit across from each other. What you say appears on the far half of the screen, translated into the other person's language — and their words appear on your side in yours. No handing the phone back and forth, no leaning over to read. HANDS-FREE AUTO MODE Turn on Auto and just talk. TableTalk hears which of the two languages is being spoken and shows each person's words translated on the other side — no buttons to press. You can still tap the microphone to talk if you prefer. DESIGNED FOR iPHONE DUO • Flat on the table: the far half rotates 180° so both of you read upright • Folded halfway: a laptop-style view with the transcript on top and microphones below • Works on the outer display when the phone is closed GREAT FOR • Shops, reception desks and customer service with overseas visitors • Restaurants, hotels and shops while travelling • Homestays and meeting people who speak another language PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Speech recognition and translation run on-device with Apple's built-in features; conversations never leave your phone • No account, no ads — a one-time purchase • Languages: Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Hindi and more (any language supported by iOS translation) Note: language packs (and, for Auto mode, voice models) are downloaded on first use. Microphone and speech recognition access are required.

What's New in TableTalk Translator

1.0.1

October 28, 2026

• New: Auto mode — turn it on and just talk, no buttons. TableTalk hears which of the two languages is spoken and shows it translated on the other side (speech recognition and translation stay on your iPhone) • Type instead of speaking when it's too noisy or too quiet to talk • Read translations aloud (turn it on in the menu; in Auto mode the microphone pauses while it reads) • Look back over the whole conversation in History • Retry a translation that didn't go through • Your language choices are remembered • The screen stays on during a conversation • Speech recognition now always runs on your iPhone — audio is never sent anywhere • Fixed translations sometimes stopping after changing languages
