About

Tabula holds between 5 and 50 notes, and you pick the number. When it's full it doesn't grow. It asks you what to do, or it replaces the oldest note if that's what you chose. At the top of the list, the tablet shows how many slots are left. It's made for this week's notes and doesn't keep everything you've written over the years, so it stays somewhere you actually look. WRITING SOMETHING DOWN Open the app and type. Or copy something in another app and tap Paste at the top of the list, and it becomes a note without typing. You can also build a shortcut of two steps, Get Clipboard and then Save a Note, and put it on the Action button. One press and what you copied is saved, without Tabula opening. Tabula's actions are in the Shortcuts app if you want to build automations on them. And you can ask Siri: "Open Tabula to write" takes you to a new note, "Search in Tabula" finds one. The same two are in Spotlight when you type Tabula. On the Home Screen the widget shows your latest notes and the free slots, and from Control Center Paste into Tabula saves what you copied. FINDING IT AGAIN All your notes in one list, with search and filters by category. Tags are tappable, so you tap "suppliers" and you see every note about them. Notes sync over iCloud like the ones in Apple Notes, so you find them on all your devices. The Mac version uses the same notes, and it's the same purchase. You buy Tabula once and you have both. MAKING ROOM Swipe a note to the left and tap the bin: it goes, and for a few seconds you can undo. Or turn on the weekly round: once a week, on the day you choose, you read your notes again one at a time and decide what to keep. WITH APPLE INTELLIGENCE If you have an iPhone 15 Pro or newer with Apple Intelligence turned on, four actions are added to your notes. On any other iPhone those actions are not there, and everything else works the same. None of them run by themselves. You pick one on a note, you look at what it proposes, and you decide whether to keep it. Categorize. It files the note as something to do or something to remember, and suggests a few tags. Extract Table. The note where you listed October's expenses becomes a CSV you open in Numbers. The week's shifts become a table. You don't have to retype anything and you don't have to go through a browser, because the text is already in the app. If the data isn't there, Tabula tells you instead of making it up. Extract Data. Pick a ready template, invoice, contact, appointment or expense, or write the fields yourself, and the note becomes JSON with those fields. Handy if the result carries on into a shortcut. Fields the note doesn't state stay empty, because they are not invented. Reformat. It lays the note out in Markdown, with headings and lists, without changing a word. You can correct the result before you keep it. PRIVACY The actions run on your iPhone with Apple Intelligence. If a note is too long or too hard for the iPhone, and only if you allow it in Preferences, Apple Intelligence processes it with Apple's Private Cloud Compute, which keeps nothing. You can also choose to stay on the device at all times. Notes sync between your devices over iCloud, like the ones in Apple Notes. REQUIREMENTS The four actions need Apple Intelligence, so an iPhone that supports it. If yours doesn't have it, those actions don't appear and the rest of the app works normally. Bought once. No account, no subscription, no in-app purchases.

What's New in Tabula 50 Notes

1.2.0

October 21, 2026

Tabula has a new look. At the top of the list sits the tablet, which shows at a glance how many slots are taken and how many are left, and the oldest note carries an hourglass. If you turn it on in Preferences, once a week, on the day you choose, Tabula offers the weekly round: you read your notes again one at a time and decide what to keep. On the Home Screen you can add a widget with your latest notes, or only the ones to do or to remember, or the tablet with the free slots. And from Control Center or the Action button, Paste into Tabula saves what you copied. To let a note go, you now just swipe it, and for a few seconds you can undo. Extract Data has four ready templates, for an invoice, a contact, an appointment or an expense. When a note is too long for the iPhone, Apple Intelligence can use Apple's Private Cloud Compute, if you allow it in Preferences.
