Niche use, but solid.
I’ve used this with my Hori TAC-PS5 for over a year now. While the UI is very plain and boasts few quality of life features, the ability to remap buttons without desktop software makes this incredibly useful for those playing on Mac, Linux, and console.
Pros:
- Can set up multiple on-board profiles. This lets change presets with a switch on the hardware even w/o the app.
- Main advertised features work really well.
- True analogue stick input.
Cons:
- Bare bones UI
- Controller firmware might need an update to use effectively. This can be frustrating for those who are not tech-savvy.
- Hardware modes don’t share profiles. If you want the same keybinds across platforms (PC, PS4, and PS5), you’ll need to export a profile and re-import it for each mode.
