Tacit — Home Screen Widget

Tacit is a Home Screen widget for two people who live together. It says how today feels without anyone having to say it. What reaches your partner is a single bit. Nothing else. IT LIVES ON THE HOME SCREEN Two dots sit side by side. The left one is you, the right one is your partner. Press twice to send. The first press only arms it — if you don't press again within ten seconds, it quietly goes back to where it was. A mistaken tap never leaves your phone. You never have to open the app. NOTHING IS KEPT No history, no calendar, no streaks, no statistics. No read receipts and no online status. Everything clears when the date changes. There is nothing to look back through, and nothing to hold against each other later. IT READS AS NOTHING FROM ACROSS THE ROOM The widget shows no words at all — the only exception is "Set up" before you are paired. Notifications are worded vaguely on purpose, so a glance at a lock screen tells no one anything. THE TWO OF YOU, IN THE SAME ROOM Tacit is for people who are already partners. The only way to pair is to hold both phones together and scan the QR code on the screen. There is no way to search for anyone and no way to reach a stranger. Either of you can unpair at any time, from either phone. NO ACCOUNTS No email address, no password. Everything stays inside your own iCloud. We do not run a server. FREE Every feature is free. A small, optional tip jar sits quietly inside the app for anyone who wants to support the work. Nothing you can do changes if you never open it. Requires an iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Both of you need an iPhone.
